We (2) wanted to go for 2 fun dives which we were told the day before to be 800 THB / person & dive. At payment counter the price suddenly went up to a 1000 THB / person & dive. As response to the question why the price went up, we were told: "It's 1000 THB for 1-5 dives, 900 THB for 6-10, and afterwards it goes down to 800 THB." In that moment I felt messed around with & we left the dive centre without going for any dive.

Just to be clear: I don't give a sh** about the 200 THB extra. The treatment seemed intransparent. After reading some of the reviews here my impression is that everything is fine as long as nothing unexpected happens. The instructors would have been nice, probably. The dive centre seems to put up much effort in public appearance and getting your money. Maybe they should shift some of that effort into customer service.

Besides, the staff member who accompanied our check-in was rather unfriendly/uninterested.
