Jake Wilson Review of Hotel Burchianti
This hotel is really close to the train bus statio...
This hotel is really close to the train bus station although if your smart, you'll take the bus to avoid the pickpockets that infest the train station. Its also around 10 minutes from the Duomo, which gives it a prime location. The room had a nice painting on the huge ceiling, but the downside to that meant that the A/C never was able to fully cool the place.
The continental breakfast was quite disappointing. It involved a lot of pre-packaged food, nothing interesting. However, the cappuccino was quite nice. The staff was quite helpful, with Mario (the elder man who speaks English) extremely nice & charming.
The bathroom was very simple, involving a showerhead that had a tendency to leak. Unfortunately, the WiFi was TERRIBLE. After someone broke the circuit breaker, I had a chance to look at the router and saw that it was well over 10 years old. My room was right next to it, and I could barely get a signal unless I stood next to the door.
If your looking for food, the Ciro & Sons right down the street has great pizza, but not much else.
Overall: The staff is very friendly and will help you out. However, the breakfast is pretty bad and the facilities could use a little bit of a facelift.
