My wife and I are OTR truck drivers. On Memorial day at about 10:00pm my wife started getting sick. Severe pain in her upper abdominal area. The pain sickness and fever wad so bad I drove her to the hospital. Most truck drivers will agree that when there is a medical emergency it's extremely difficult to find a hospital where a truck will fit in the hospital parking lot.
Well I made parking at this hospital, we had no choice. My wife was in to much pain to worry about parking.
Let's start with the promptness of the ER room. The ER has some of the best staff that we ever seen, they were on top of their jobs. Everyone worked together just like a finely tuned piano. They had a diagnosis in very little time and they made sure that my wife's pain was down to a minimum in record time. With the diagnosis it was determined that my wife needed surgery to remove her gallbladder. The staff promptly had her admitted and scheduled for surgery the very next day.
Once my wife was settled into the room I joined her. Once again we were promptly taken care of by a very pleasant professional staff. Every staff member kept us informed about exactly what they were doing and why. We could not ask for a better staff. There was only one of the staff members that was a disappointment but that was taken care of immediately. Never let one bad apple destroy a great team. The entire team worked together so well, something that my wife and I haven't seen in a very long time.
Tuesday morning was surgery day. We were informed so well about what to expect with the surgery that we had no questions.
The gallbladder surgery went very smooth. My wife was back in her room in very little time. The surgical staff was outstanding. The hospital staff even found a little abnormality with my wife's heart, which will be addressed with our family doctor once we get home.
My wife's recovery went very well. She was released the very next day. The only thing that would have been helpful would have been if a dietician would have showed up with a diet plan for someone that just had their gallbladder removed and has diverticulitis. Other then that everything went very well.
So if you find yourself in Findlay, OH and in need of medical attention this hospital is outstanding.
Stay healthy
