Fabulous all round. Great value - one day is hardly long enough - ultra-friendly and helpful staff, nice food, unusual shops, lovely grounds, fun sculptures ... I could go on and on. Just go there - you won't be disappointed. The third weekend of the month (as memory serves) is when Hatfield has a farmers' market and antiques in the stableyard - no entry fee, so you can soak up the atmosphere as well as grab some great food or antique bargains. Sadly, we timed our visit to the locality wrong for this, but we are certainly going to try and catch it at some other time.
