FOR RENTERS - They way over charged us for repairs ($1,500 for touch up paint after 1.5 years of living in a 1200 sq ft apt and we patched holes from hanging pictures ourselves) ($3k charge for scratched faux wood floors) and they were very slow and unresponsive on repairs (~3 months to fix an ice maker as an example, but every scenario was ridiculously long). They also charge you for rent until you drop off the keys in Hayward during their business hours, which are not convenient for most working people (especially if you re renting in SF and don t have a car) - they do not have a drop box, they just keep charging you even though you ve moved out just because you couldn t take time off of work to drop off keys. They rack up charges and don t give good service. I m updating this post because I just moved out of an apartment not managed by BSR, and the landlord was reasonable and respectful and it reminded me of how horrible it was dealing with BSR. If you have other options, for your own sake, do not rent from BSR. Save the headache and go with a landlord that will treat you with respect.
