I grew up going to Six Flags over Texas. They've made a lot of significant changes and the new rides are awesome. Entering the park is pretty smooth and parking seems to fill up really fast. Generally the wait times are pretty quick, but it's been a while since I experienced really lengthy lines like when the Titan was premiered.
There's a kids section that caters to the younger kids who can't ride the bigger rides and has a lot to offer for them. There's also lots of Warner Brother characters to see out and about.
Food is rather expensive here and so are the drinks. But it's average for most theme parks. We often opt to share meals.
I highly recommend their season pass and even the dining plan if you plan on visiting more than once in a year. It's also valid at other Six Flags theme parks.
I'd also suggest going for their Halloween Fright Fest events. They put a lot of work into the shows and the whole park. Christmas events aren't as fun as the Halloween ones in my opinion but still fun regardless.
The only thing I would changed is how very rickety the Judge Roy Scream rollercoaster is. It's an all wood roller coaster but has gotten significantly worse over these years.
