Review of The Wolseley

I presume Sundays are laundry day at the Wolseley?...

I presume Sundays are laundry day at the Wolseley? Maybe a day to avoid?

So I have visited many grand establishments but I have never sat and tried to enjoy a 5 star venue next to a laundromat. The enjoyment impaired by a shaking table due to the centrifuge going on a spin constantly. Quite heavy these tables, but we managed to move it half an inch so as to avoid the table shaking. To anyone who still want to venture, avoid the balcony tables, because next door is the laundry and you might not like the smell of Persil with your eggs benedict.

As for the food. Well, a 5 star establishment should know how to make a pepper-sauce. But apparently not, because it was all watery. Passing that comment to the waiter and you get the shoulder treatment - "hey I just wait here I have no idea". Brilliant.

As for the rest of the service, well none of waiters have presumably gone to any formal training since they don't know how to serve properly. Serve from the left or right, assiettes for bread - why bother about details!

In short I shan't be coming back. The Wolseley is not worth the bother, hype or price tag.
