I called on Friday afternoon and they would have sent someone but we had plans for the evening so they put me on the list for Saturday. Saturday afternoon Chris Beard arrived. He put on protective shoe covers at the door. He listened to me first, then checked some things and asked me a few questions. He checked some more and gave me recommendations including things which he specified as optional. His explanations were clear and he was VERY forthright. He took the time to show me my costs based on different factors including a yearly contract with them which he did NOT try to strongarm me into choosing. He even brought up his competitors (who had installed the current system) and spoke about warranties I might have with them. As it turned out I did indeed have a longer term warranty than I thought with his competitor. He actually spoke with rhem on the phone and gave them some info they needed to help me. In the end it made more sense to go with the original installers so he only charged me for the diagnostic services. However, Chris' willingness to cooperate with them and going so far as to recommend I utilize with them was reminiscent of Macy's sending people to their competitor in "Miracle on 34th Street." Chris was appropriately friendly and very professional; I am impressed with Chris Beard in every way. Because of my experience with him, I will keep Appleton Campbell in mind for future needs and will gladly recommend them to others.
