COTA is an awesome venue. I've only been for the USGP, but it seems everything they do is top notch. They did a decent job at coordinating thousands of people during hurricane Patricia in 2015. Some fans were frustrated but I'm sure it was a monumental effort on their part to keep fans as happy as they were. For the Grand Prix, they have shuttles to downtown as well as parking on site but is on the pricy side. Parking is much cheaper from the locals but there is a walk and there is no guarantee there will be space available. I believe general admission seats are the way to go. There are plenty of good views from GA through the esses and at the hill on turn 1. If you want to be guaranteed a seat and not be at the track at the butt crack of dawn to fight for the good GA space, the last grandstand in the esses has a great view of 3/4 of the track.
