Ok, so let me say first of all, zoos are not my favourite choice as a day out. However, Bristol Zoo is well presented and there is much to see and do on a family outing.
If you love to see exotic animals and discover much about their lifestyles, watch a David Attenborough documentary instead!
If you are in Bristol and are at a loose end for the afternoon, spend a few hours peering into seemingly empty enclosures playing spot the animal. (It's usually hiding far away from human gaze) enjoy the excitement of seeing an animal first and pointing it out to your family, then hurry on as you realise that what you thought was an animal was in fact, a pile of poo, fluff and some leaves, and that you'd been gawping at it for the last 10 minutes.
Parking is plentyfull nearby, follow signs for car parking or park on street using pay and display machine located nearby. * Note * check information locally as street parking is free on weekends and bank holidays on some streets.
