Really depends on where you go and who you'll bump into. Because it's open to the general public you have the unfortunate chance of meeting people who are not as into nature as you would expect of national park visitors who litter, hog the road and disobey park rules.

The roads in most cases are fantastic and mostly well maintained and the concept is amazing. Perhaps better to schedule a longer trip to the further northern sectors where there are fewer people.
