Some background. (1) I am based in Kenya, whilst the project team is based in Singapore. (2) This is the updated version (2nd) of the website, the first was designed and constructed by Verz Design in 2015. (3) I have requested the original project manager, Eric Shen, to manage this latest updating. (4) I understand Verz Design might have used programming capabilities of different nationalities in South East Asia, but they are very experienced and competent.

Now, some feedback. (a) Despite the distance and time difference, Eric has managed the project very well : experienced, capable, and proactive. (b) Eric was not a follower that just act according to customer requirements, he in fact provided useful suggestions and advice eg use of copywriter, website features. (c) Though I was incapacitated by the pandemic situation, and the project stalled, Eric, Aseem Mohamed and programming team have been very patient with me.

Finally, I am quite conversant with the IT capabilities in Africa, particularly Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya. Ghana rather than the other two countries is the Tech Startup capital in Africa. I however is based in Kenya working on an AgriTech startup, so I can only make a comparison between Singapore and Kenya IT . Overall, there is a big gap between the two, and Kenya IT has a lot of catching up to do, in terms of expertise and cost structure.

I am working on the platform for my AgriTech startup in Kenya and will be keen to evaluate Verz Design (based in Singapore) for their capabilities and cost effectiveness for the next phase of the work. The earlier ground engagement, needs assessment, and design proposition have been three years in the making. This time, it will not just be a website, but one that is a market-based platform, linked to artificial intelligence and blockchain components.
