I had 2 choices for purchasing my vehicle: Drivers Select or the authorized "Aruca" dealer down the road. After the authorized dealer went up on the advertised price of the vehicle, then tried to convince me that I was getting a good deal by "going down" to the advertised price, I went to Driver's Select/Echo Park.

After talking with the salesman earlier in the week, we went on a Friday afternoon. It was Much bigger than I thought, but also pretty orderly. We had a to wait a bit for the salesman, but once he came we got the vehicle in pretty short order. We took it for a test drive, then brought it back and decided to buy it.

The actual buying process is why I'm knocking off a star. While the service was great and the communication with my sales person was Very Good, the buying process just left me flat. We were there for a total of 5 hours. With a 6 year old. On a Friday night. Maybe it's just been awhile since I purchased a car but 5 hours seemed to be pretty long for a "no haggle price". There was no "talk with the manager" stuff going on, just the filling out the credit application, getting financing, then signing the paperwork and leaving. My one star knock is also because they don't accept outside financing, making my pre-approved bank loan useless, but they DID get me a better rate than the bank. So there's that.

If you're in the market for a car, I would advise you to check them out. After I purchased my vehicle, I took it to my mechanic to have a Real Look. My mechanic said that everything looked good, which surprised me. But even if it hadn't been good, the vehicle came with a one month (!) warranty where Driver's Select / Echo Park will take care of 100% of Parts and Labor. The certified, pre-owned vehicle from dealer didn't even come with that, so that's another plus.
