Our 5 year old son has been going to Precision Martial Arts Academy for just under 2 years now. What we find refreshing about this school and the leadership team is that they all have their own personality, instruction style and energy. But, they all find unique, interesting and fun ways to keep the students engaged and they make them feel included while doing so respectfully, professionally and making Taekwondo fun and interesting. As you can imagine the attention span of a 5 year old is quite short, but the program is structured in a way that keeps the kids engaged and encourages participation. We found it challenging to find a program for our son 2 years ago. There just wasn't much available for 4 year olds that are ready to take on new challenges, because most programs discriminate based on a child's age.

My son has learned some sparring techniques, kicks, punches, stances, combinations, poomse, some self-defence skills, with an emphasis placed on fitness and fun. His eyes light up and he works extra hard when his favorite instructors work with him 1-on-1. The kids get a lot of 1-on-1 time learning with the instructors at PMAA. For us, as parents it's not about kicks and punches, it's about developing a love of life-long fitness and sport, building confidence, the importance of teamwork, friendships, and developing a sense of work ethic with setting and achieving goals.

There are lots of Taekwondo options in the city, but only one has Master Sadler and his team. They are all great with the kids and most importantly they all care. Highly recommend checking out PMMA.
