They move us to another hotel although we have a confirmed booking.

We are supposed to check in today. We booked 2 rooms through an online travel agent and few days before our arrival time we even received an email from hotel to "reconfirm our stay and give our estimated time of arrival". I did reply to confirm our stay--it is guaranteed by credit card anyway--and gave the hotel our arrival time as well.

It is 10 PM and when we were checking in, they told us the hotel is fully booked and they only have 1 room left and the AC is not working--so they moved us to another hotel, and said we can stay in Mercure tomorrow.

It's not about the waived fee, not the money. We are exhausted, it is late at night and the thought of having to move hotels back and forth with only 3 nights in Bali is already making me even more tired.

I understand it is a high season, but why would you make an overbooking if you can't handle it??? You're not just some 2-star guesthouse, you're Mercure, FFS. This is outrageous.
