CHICKEN WING CRAZY!
We had a hankering to get Italian food on a Monday night. Where else to go but Carino's for 'half off' Family Platters! The food service was great as usual. Since we eat early and there are only two of us, we usually dine in the bar area and take advantage of Happy Hour drink specials.

The STAND OUT was the Happy Hour menu which included chicken wings (at an Italian restaurant?!?!?!). Being Wingavors (and thinking, 'what the heck....'), we ordered the chicken wings (buffalo hot; Note: there are several other dry and sauce flavors). As usual, we were very specific in our order to prepare the wings 'super extra' crispy (no rubber), lightly sauced, but with extra sauce on the side. Note: from our perspective, if the wings do not arrive as ordered, we will not return to a wing eatery.

Our jaws dropped, when the wings arrived as ordered and they were actually larger than anticipated. We dug in. The wings and sauce were, Mm Mm Good! The best news, is that Carino's has a 25 cent wing special (max. 10 per person) on Thursdays.

Since then, we have attempted to make it back weekly to Carino's for the Thursday Wing special (and Happy Hour). Also, our friends who have tried their wings made follow up visits.

Football season in just starting. If you are nearby Carino's, make sure to stop in and enjoy the Italian Cuisine. However, if you need to get your 'Wing On', as unbelievable as this sounds, the wings run supreme!
