This is the safest entrance for you to the Holy City
Still I prefer Damascus Gate for its colorful shops, streets and atmosphere.
However form time to time there are some events there, not so enjoyable so to speak, so to be on the safe side, Jaffa Gate is the better Gate.
You'll get straight to the "Shuk" and it will be fantastic!
Or you can take to your right the road to the Jewish Quarter and the Wall.
