I would rate a handful of the nurses and CNAs here...

I would rate a handful of the nurses and CNAs here a five star review if only rating them alone on their care and compassion to residents. HOWEVER the facility advertises and promotes itself in specializing in dementia and Alzheimer s care which is just absolutely not the case . My loved one resided here for. Total of three months , she came in with very advanced dementia but other wise young (64) and healthy. She was on medications to help with some of her behaviors but rather than work with her in other ways the dr and psychiatrist there took her off the medication only to put her back on it and continue to increase It and add other serious medications that completely drained what wa s left of her . She went into the hospital with low grade fever and was completely bed ridden couldn t walk or speak . A far off image of who she was two weeks prior. She died from complications in the hospital from this initial Illness that progressed without any knowledge to the drs or staff in the facility. I don t know who or what was to blame in her case but I know something was not right. Among collecting her things her wedding ring was missing from her items . Overall not an ideal experience .
Update : police report was filed regarding missing wedding band but nothing has yet to show up. 42 years of marriage both parents now deceased the only physical piece of that that remained obviously taken from my mother with severe dementia while in this facility . Also would like to note that we received a call on CHRISTMAS EVE from billing department asking us to pay an outstanding balance of 300$!! We did not even have the Money for a service she was barely gone a month and this is when they chose to call and collect! There was no condolence call after our mother s death , but they didn t skip a beat on collecting payment. Choosing this place will forever be a choice that haunts us all as we will never really have any answers as to what happened here .
