Love love love...

Love love love...
On our holiday from Australia we decided to try Keens as it was near our hotel, so glad we did!

To begin, when we arrived they quickly took us to our table which was by the wall and so they took the whole table out just so I can comfortably sit in and not disturb the tables next to us.

I wish I could remember our waitresses name, she was excellent (blonde lady) probably best service I have had in a long time! Or ever. She had great wine recommendations but she also just made us feel so welcome and had a great sense of humour.

I asked for a cocktail that was not on the menu and usually not many places know what it is, but she straight away knew it and said they can absolute do it for me, which was a big plus!

We ordered the fillet mignon with a delicious mushroom sauce (which comes on the side so you can put as little or as much as you like) and the new York sirloin.
They were both cooked to absolute perfection, my fillet mignon was like melting butter in my mouth!!!

Although the restaurant was full it had a very pleasant atmosphere, not overly loud which is a nice break from the craziness of NYC going on just outside.
With a pleasant low lighting and a low roof which is covered in old wooden pipes. The walls have a selection of old photographs and newspaper clippings. Also as you enter the restaurant there are pipes on the wall that belonged to some famous people.
It was cozy and inviting and we had a great night!
Highly recommend dining here for a special night in NYC.
