This isn't directed towards the McDonald law firm per se. But the law firm in NC that they connect you with. When you are calling about disability issues. First and foremost do not contact a lawyer or law firm unless you have been denied disability. I talked to someone from the firm and was mailed paperwork the next day. Me being clueless sign the paperwork mailed it back. Thinking if I need them for my case I would already have a lawyer. Not knowing I didn't need a lawyer yet, but they knew. 4 to 5 months go by the only time I talked to someone. Is when the firm called me asking if I had heard anything from Social Services. So when I was accepted to get disability. The law firm got over 5000 dollars of my back disability claim. Because they attached themselves to my case knowing they didn't do a thing for me. Because I had already filled for disability on my own. I was just waiting for my decision from Social Services. And the real sad part is it was legal. They didn't have to do me like that, but they did because they could. And I didn't know. If that's not unethical I don't know what is. I really hope this helps someone. So they don't have to go through what I did. Geoff McDonald I heard you are a good person. But you need to look at that firm in NC. Because they got money for doing absolutely nothing for me. Just because something is legal doesn't mean it's right.
