I've frequented Fish Market since moving to the CLT area in 2015; however, my most recent experience has made me do a complete 180 with whether or not my horrible experience was a fluke OR if customer service has taken a turn for the worst. Though servers can have off days, there's nothing like paying top dollar for food - only to receive stereotypical fast-food service. After talking with my friend, I came to the conclusion that the young man's section was about to be "closed," and he was not too happy to receive another table.

The rundown of the "What Would You Do" experiences we had:
- Server told me I couldn't receive my sweet tea "just yet" because all of the glasses were dirty.
- We had to request bread for the table
- When we requested additional time to think about what we wanted, our server hovered ... almost believing that he could will us into ordering ASAP
- Though we wanted a leisurely dining experience (hence why we chose Fish Market), our server was not in that frame of mind at all.
- We had to research certain sushi ingredients because we were told inaccurate information about certain dishes (i.e. a sushi roll that included lobster apparently had RAW lobster in it ... not cooked ... only to have another server tell us it was "imitation lobster"); management confirmed that the lobster is in fact cooked

Please note, we did share our concerns, distaste with the manager; though we didn't expect anything to be comped, we were slightly surprised that we were not extended an offer for a free appetizer, beverage, etc. for our next visit. For this experience, because of how bad it was, I'm rating Fish Market a 2 out of 5; way too much money being spent for not consistent customer service.
