I bought a 2008 Lexus in excellent condition and played my time and got a good deal on the car--the end of the month, a Sunday and it was raining and they needed to sell a car but I did not have to buy, great leverage.

But finalizing the deal was a nightmare. I was put in this room with this high pressure after the fact sales manager who tried to sell me a bundle of over priced oil changes and using supposedly high cost service scare tactics for buying an overpriced extended warranty. I did not buy either.

I like the car, it is near perfect condition with only 50K Miles but I would never go back because of the nightmare one has to go through to finalize the deal. I looked online and Lexus is no more expensive to service than a Toyota Camry and has top notch reliability ratings. New enough to be true luxury but old enough not to have all that unneeded electronic crap so many complain about.
