I have used Murrays many times in the past. This time four of us pre-booked to go to Sydney from Canberra and return to Canberra after a Cruise ship tour. We arrived at Central station Bus terminal at 9.30 am. and our booked coach was at 12 noon. After a long tiring journey we had to wait 2.5 hours and so we requested to accommodate us at 10 am or 11 am coach if there are vacancies. The staff refused and were adamant and rigid thus, rejected our request. We noticed those two earlier coaches had so many vacant seats and they did not not want to help us. We found there was no courtesy or politeness and after waiting long enough and got into the Bus. Immediately the driver got in and out of the coach several times, trying to fix a door at the back of the bus. After taking off he stopped near the airport and try to fix the problem. Then at the beginning of M5 he stopped and tried to fix. Once again new Sutton Forrest he stopped and trying to fix. At last he announced that there is a technical problem and that he would stop at the service station in Sutton Forrest and arrange for all passengers to board the next coach arriving there in about 45 minutes or so. So we ended up reaching Canberra at 5.30 p, instead of scheduled time of 3.30 pm. So wen ended up paying a lot for the taxi that being peak hours.
This was a damn good lesson for us to decide that we would never, ever again use Murrays coach. There are other options for us and I would not recommend anyone to use Murrays!
