Profoundly unethical, condescending, and incompete...

Profoundly unethical, condescending, and incompetent.

After I paid $400 for blood tests for my sick pet, received a diagnosis, and began administering a prescription, I paid another $114 for another blood test and was informed that the thyroid level had risen and a low (likely inadequate dose) was deliberately prescribed, thus requiring another $114 visit following dosage adjustment, as well as follow-up visits to determine whether the thyroid condition was a "false diagnosis," disguising a possible kidney condition, a possibility which would require further blood tests. When I informed the snotty 30-ish "doctor" that on my limited income I couldn't afford $100 (plus the sky is the limit...or the cost of her timeshare) monthly vet bills, she responded "I'm sorry things cost money," and proceeded to enlighten me about the "gold standard" of care they provide, the resounding subtext being that I would be immoral not to cough it up. Sorry lady, I can't afford to be a "gold standard" kind of guy (which you can because of the corporate shakedown and emotional head screwing business model of the three quarters of a billion dollar ponzi scheme you work for), and furthermore, I guarantee you I understand much better than you do the fact that "things cost money." Click.
PS: On top of all that, they screwed up my appointment time...actually called the day before reminding that the appointment was scheduled at 11:30, then when I arrived, informed me I was a half hour late and had the choice of waiting an hour and a half, or "dropping off" my traumatized pet.
Despicable. Arrogant. Incompetent.
Don't do it.

Update: To add insult to injury, or in this case to add insult to insult, their canned reply is to invite you to call the "Client Advocate Team," where you get a recording that tells you their hours in English and Spanish, followed by another recording telling you they're currently closed. During those hours. You guys stink.
