I went to test drive two vehicles today. My salesman was nice and courteous. Problem came up when we went to close the deal on one of the vehicles. We agreed on a price, little higher than I wanted but was ok. I wrote out the down payment check, he was confirming the insurance, then he realized he was looking at the wrong vehicle even though we were discussing the model the whole time. Ok, honest mistake. He tells me he has to double check if he can still sell me the one I was talking about at the agreed price. Comes back and says no. He wanted to sell it to me higher than what the internet listed price was, I didn't realize when he was looking at the wrong vehicle he had added $2000 dollars because I wasn't a loyal customer (I was a first time customer and now will never be loyal), which is why the wrong vehicle price was the same as the internet price for the vehicle I was looking at. What's even worse is we went through the whole KBB dance of what the value of the vehicle was with the right model and the price we agreed upon was right in the middle, the price he came back with was much higher than KBB even said. I get honest mistake, but they lost a customer and didn't even try to keep me. Not bad people just didn't seem like a good business practice.
