Review of Bear Mountain Ski Area

The trails were fairly well maintained considering...

The trails were fairly well maintained considering lack of snow recently. But some things aren't great:
- Really expensive compared to Colorado and other states. Even parking is not free!
- Locker room is outside of the ski area so it's a 5 min walk to get to your lockers to get your shoes.
- this mountain is really more for people who jump and do tricks, and not really skiers. There's obstacles everywhere!
- lack of racks for equipment so people just dump their equipment on the snow areas by tables.
- extremely popular and need to book tickets and rentals at last a week in advance for weekends
- their method of crowd control on lifts is non sensical. They let an entire line through for random number of people instead of letting first group of each line go one at a time. And they forget which line they let go sometimes.

I do like their covid response as you're 5 mins in and out of rental areas as they help you put boots on. And they organize rental lines with sms messages so people wait outside.

But I don't think I'll be coming back as there are better options else where that isn't crowded.
