Everything went smoothly except we did not get a chance to select the mortgage payment date to coincide with our existing mortgage. We were told it would be taken care of at closing but that did not happen. We wanted the payment to be the 14th or 15th but it was set up for the 1st. They also told us we have a 15-day grace period but you cannot set up an autopay with Firstar Bank unless the payment is received BEFORE the due date. We really liked the ability to upload all requested documents online and that seemed to speed up the process. We would do business with them again - but would definitely push harder to get the payment date that we want even if that means paying some extra interest up front at closing. Firstar Bank will NOT change the due date after closing as that date is specified in the mortgage note.
