I was in the ER twice. First day Sunday. First time I was given a plastic pillow with no pillowcase. The girl that brought it to me, because I didn t have a pillow at all in my room, said she didn t know where they kept the linen an walked away. ?????? Excuse me??? I had to ask for a blanket and if you want to call it a sheet that covered the bed that was pushing it. I had been throwing up since Friday. They did their tests. Ruled things out. Gave me meds that DID NOT HELP, told me to stay hydrated and follow up with my Primary Care. I was handed papers and told to take a right out of my room. No wheelchair NOTHING!!!! I WAS PLACED WITH NON COVID SYMPTOM PATIENTS THE FIRST TIME!! I DIDN T MEET CRITERIA FOR COVID!
Tuesday. Second visit. SAME EXACT SYMPTOMS AND I WAS PLACED WITH COVID SYMPTOM PATIENTS!!! I MET CRITERIA FOR COVID!! How?! Two days ago I didn t. Same symptoms!!!!! I brought my own pillow this time. Good thing. They had NO PILLOWS!!!! NO PILLOWS!!!! Now, I know the meds they gave me did not work. I asked for something else. The APRN told me they had protocol of meds they had to give before they could give me anything else. Well we did that protocol Sunday. Those meds didn t work. Let s skip to the ones that I haven t had yet. They wouldn t do that. So, I was given rounds of meds we already knew didn t work because they want to make money. Give me another reason. It wasn t for the benefit of the patient. Once again they tell me to stay hydrated and see my Primary Care. They gave me Prilosec. Once again I was left to find my way out of the ER alone, no assistance. No wheelchair. NOTHING!!!!!!!! I had to get myself out. Baptist Health is a joke. They are in to make money not patient care. I will drive to Louisville or Bowling Green before I ever go back.
