I was perfectly satisfied with the overall process including the actual cleaning and the professionalism of the person who showed up to do the work. However, my concern that warranted 3 stars was due to lack of clarity in the pricing. I called for quote explaining I lived in 2 bedroom apt and gave estimated square footage. There were no follow up questions from their end, and they gave me price of $150 which I was ok with considering other places I tried (I had previous apt much bigger than this done in other state for $50). When the person showed up to do the work he told me it would be $225 and that the reason was the quote was literally for 2 bedrooms assuming the other rooms were non-carpeted. All of my rooms are carpet except for small kitchen and bathroom, but person providing initial quote on phone did not ask about other rooms, and I surely did not think of clarifying at the time of the call. I had no choice but to take the job because I had to be out this same day and no way of getting other quotes in time. The person doing work did discount $25 after I explained things, but the damage was done. I tried to take responsibility for not clarifying initially, but I think they could have done a better job of assuming my ignorance of how they price and simply asked how many rooms total are carpeted. If I was told it would be $225 I would have gotten other quotes. I don t want to assume this was done intentionally as I try to give others benefit of doubt, but at a minimum the initial quoting process could have been better. Lesson...if you call for carpet cleaning quote explain exactly how many rooms are carpeted along with square footage so they don t up the price upon arrival.

UPDATE...after I sent email explaining my issue with the pricing exercise, they actually went back and reviewed the tape of my conversation and admitted to being at fault in not making it clear enough (who knew they actually do use call recordings for training purposes). They gave me another $25 off and offered a discount on any future cleaning. You can't get better than the response they have provided. Mistakes happen and people deserve to know when they make up for the mistake as well as they have. Well don Simple Steam FIVE STARS!
