WoodCrafters

Super helpful staff and incredible selection. Great local resource.

This place is awesome and umatched but 4 stars because needs to be open Sunday for us weekend woodworkers.

Tons of great stuff and an expansive lumber selection. Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff.

Amazing service and had matching trim for a house I've been working on for Greenpointe Design and Construction! Will recommend and be back for future trim!

Mono,Dwayne, +Riley helped with the purchase and delivery. Happy Happy Happy.

I almost live in this place. They have what any woodworking person could need.

Awesome little store! Quality wood products, as well as accessories. Very friendly and professional.

Excellent selection of woods, tools and materials. Prices are quite high though. Not a place to shop if price is a concern.

Love this place, I'm a pen turner and creator of exotic hybrid wood and resin pen blanks, and I love digging through their scrap and cut off bins. The staff are very helpful and I come here to buy rough lumber often as well for larger projects.

Love this place! I practically live there.
Everything you would need for fine woodworking and home remodeling.

Very knowledgeable and courteous. They have everything you need and want. They treat you like family. I will be coming back.

Grape variety of useful products sometimes parking is a problem though

Exceptional selection of woodworking tools and hardwood lumber. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Went here to get some tweaks done on a DiY desk I bought off of Amazon. They weren't able to do what I was looking to have done but they did tell me where I could go to get what I was looking for (creative woodworking NW inc) and out of pure kindness one employee offered and gave me a ride there with his personal vehicle! Which helped a lot since I was carrying some big wood boards around and was going to pay for a lyft to take me there. Next level customer service! So glad I went to this place! Even when they couldn't do what I needed they still helped me get what I was looking for.

Edit: typos

This is great place. You would think that at a small local place you'll pay a little more for something than of you bought it set big chain. I personally do not find that to be the case all the time. And many things I buy are premium and they have same price as Amazon. If I do pay a couple extra bucks, I don't mind because the staff is super knowledgeable and will give you the help you need. LOVE THIS PLACE AND THE FOLKS WHO WORK THERE!

Friendly, but my god, way overpriced-three dollars for a tiny bag of screws for my drawer guides! (This was AFTER returning, because the salesman didn't give them to me when we got the guides the first visit)!!

This is the place for the serious woodworker. They have a huge and varied inventory and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Once again they save the day having the basr board needed to complete the project

Helpful staff, great wood, tools and stain selection. All around great store for home restoration jobs and creating with wood.

Awesome wood store with a large selection of lumber, plywood, and more. A large selection of exotic woods, also. They carry electric tools and assortment of hand tools. Weekly seminars are held to learn new skills.

This store is amazing. I am always a kid in the proverbial candy store while here.

Woodcrafters is my go to woodworking supply shop. They have an absolutely fantastic selection of every product you would ever need. Great knowledgeable service.

Normally I have a great experience with the Portland Woodcrafters. However most recently I was helped by an older fellow with glasses and a cane who was extremely condescending and presumptuous about my needs and application for the parts I wanted. His tone was completely unwelcome and ultimately betrayed whatever self awarded vocational mastery he was attempting to bully me with. Avoid this man if you can. Everyone else I have dealt with is great.

Love this place. Great staff, decent prices on pine. Amazing gallery of rare/exotic woods. Pretty sweet tool selection. I learn something new every time I come here.

Called to ask for help finding someone who might be able to assist with a finish restoration project. Got two condescending responses and a decline from the person named John answering the phone.

Best selection of different wood profiles as well as all necessary sundries for pro and hobbyist woodworkers alike! Great knowledgeable staff.

This is the place to go for wood, tools, expertise on woodworking. The assortment is excellent. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. The quality is high. On the rare occasions when they make mistakes they fix them quickly.

Simply the best place in town. Wonderful employees. Incredibly helpful and understanding. Highly knowledgeable in their craft.

Duane W. Was very patient and helpful. Purchased a Sawstop, Jet dust collector and assorted necessities. They have a great selection of toys for woodworkers.

This is a great place to find hard to get woodworking items and wood products. You will spend a lot, so you should make sure you can't find what you're looking fire elsewhere first. A very friendly place, and the staff is ready to help with any questions you may have.

Friendly and helpful staff. Fun to browse when I go in for wood or tools.

Complete woodworkers palette. Great salespeople who are polite and knowledgeable. WC doesnt handle large commercial shop machines, but for the most part,if they don't have it,it doesn't exist. Some things are priced higher than normal but overall this a fun place to visit for any level of woodworker.highly recommended

... if your budget is unlimited. Worth a visit, even if you don't spend any money.

Wide selection of wood, tools and supplies and small library.

Premium products - It can sometimes hurt the wallet, but I haven t bought a single thing from these guys that I regretted. The staff is as knowledgeable as they are approachable, which is to say: very. Truly an exemplary Portland business.

My favorite selection of stains in town. Everyone is so friendly who works here!

Very knowledgeable and helpful people. With most everything you need in stock.

Excellent selection of specialty wood products for the woodworker. Reasonable prices.

This place is the best, knowledgeable and they have EVERYTHING.

Love this place. Bought my Laguna table saw from them at a competitive price. Great place for knowledge and material.

Lots of great tools and wood. Prices beat some mail order

Not a very competitively priced store.
Also not very friendly, honest, or helpful staff.

Apparently it cost $45 dollars to make one cut on a piece of plywood.

(which I learned only after purchasing the wood, which I had made clear I d need cut.
They wouldn t cut it until after I purchased it, which seemed fair,
but they failed to mention how much that cost until after I purchased it. Even though I asked several times.)

Considering the plywood itself is $20 dollars.
Not the best business practice for earning repeat customers.

Needless to say, I will select a different shop next time.

It was like being a kid again and a gigantic candy store!

The assortment is a masterpiece. All the clerks are friendly and safe. A shop where you want to stay. Lol

If you need a trim and you can t find on the big box store, they will have it.

The staff were very generous with their time in helping me get the right materials for my project.

Great selection of wood working tools, finishes, and material with a friendly knowledgeable staff. They also have a wood shop in the same building.

These guys are as good as it gets! Their Festool selection is the best around. Being a painter in the NW, dust containment is paramount. Knowledgeable staff is friendly and attentive, without being pushy.

Great store with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They carry top quality products at reasonable prices. Go see for yourself. Great wood workers store.

The best place for woodworking tools, but depending on the type of wood you're looking for there are probably better prices at other places in town.

Great inventory of all kinds of wood. A little spendy but they've got it.

A great place to get hard to find woods and specialty tools with a very staff!

Woodworkers beware! Woodcrafters is a dangerous place! Full of helpful, polite, and informative experts, gorgeous wood, and some of best tools around, Woodcrafters will separate you from your disposable income faster than lightening kills a tree. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the well laid out isles, great lighting, and helpful experts. Contractors, professionals, and hobbyists alike are immune to their crafty ways!

Worth the drive from Astoria! These guys are experts and very willing to share their knowledge, recommendations, and expertise. Selection and customer service 5 stars.

These people are great, help me my old style crown molding.

Fantastic customer service. The staff are very knowledgeable and take the time to work with each customer. Shou out to to Mano and Dave O.

Staff is kind and happy to share their knowledge. Great selection of tools, wood, and books. It's any woodworkers dream, definitely worth the drive to Oregon. 10/10 on IMDB

One of my favorite places in town. Best service, excellent selection, plus all your Festool needs.

Great selection. They were very helpful when we wanted to build some shelves and when we were looking for a good kitchen slide out cutting board. Would recommend for any woodcrafting needs!

They have everything for the woodworker and great service

They have quality
Fair price. When I make mistakes they help out
A total thumbs up

The store is great but the customer service is garbage. I needed an estimate on lumber so I went the front desk. After being told to wait for help I watched up five guys who supposedly work they help one customer. I don't know if they were ignoring me because I'm female or because I'm not a regular. Either way, I probably won't go there again.

Huge selection of just about anything wood related you might need. As they don't specialize in any one thing, there could be an issue with having a specific wood or tool in stock, but they are more than willing to order something for you.

Portland's best woodworking shop! Been coming here for over 30 years. Not a chain, support your local store.

Great store for wood and tools. Prices are a bit high but the selection is really good. Everyone who works here is nice and knowledgable.

Good for most woodworking supplies, though sometimes they don't have tools in stock.

One of the best selections for wood trim in Portland

I visit WC 2-3 times a year, whenever I have projects. The staff is always so helpful and understanding of my ignorance, and they always guide me in the right direction. They offer great information, and advice, and provide great personal service. You never have to walk around to find someone to help you, since they promptly greet you at the door. Bill and Dylan are so amiable and knowledgeable. It's also really nice that throughout the three years that I've been shopping here, I see the same faces.

Great service by knowledgeable staff, great selection of tools (especially Festo, the best there is), good selection of wood species. Duane did a great job for me! They will take as much time as needed to help you whether you're a pro or a novice hobbyist.

This place has it all! I'm sure that some people could and will complain about prices but when you can find siding that is a perfect match for your 1911 Portland home (on the shelf!) you might change your tune. Wood, screws, tools, glue, hardware, moulding and more. It's a candy store for those who work with wood.

These guys price matched a set of Stanley 750 Sweethearts! Amazing people, amazing service, and an amazing selection. This store is the woodworking equivalent of the Wanka Factory!

More wood working tools in one place than I ve ever seen.

Impressive selection of specialty lumber, trim, and tools. The staff was patient and super knowledgeable. I can't believe I didn't know about this place sooner!
