I've worked with the team since late 2013. I run a startup that outsources development entirely, and I characterise my relationship with WO as a trusted partner. This is beyond the typical client-agency thing; these guys take the view that the customer is not always right, and will work with me to find better ways to get things done, rather than simply taking the cash and building what I want (or thought I want). Their approach has saved me a lot of time, and a fair bit of cash. We build iteratively, and change what we're doing as we go. You need particular types of relationships to make that work, and with WO, this is what we have.
As a practising midwife and educationalist, I worked with White October on production of a smartphone app for midwives and obstetricians - so completely new territory on both sides! I was impressed with the enthusiasm, commitment, and technical expertise of my two main contacts within the organisation - and particularly appreciated the frequent and open communication. I will certainly be back if I get more funding to further develop the app.
White October is the most tremendously supportive company with a fantastically clever and lovely team.
