Wheel Wright Lumber company

Ordered 7 man doors 3 right hand and 4 left hand and 2 bifold doors from them and have had nothing but issues ever sense. Once we started hanging the doors we found out I only recieved 1 right hand door and they didn't cut down my 2 of my other doors 1 solid core and 1 bifold. I took them back to fix my order and all they did was cut the original solid core door down at the bottom, so now my door knob is over an inch lower then all the other doors in my house. They called me Friday saying my doors were done then they couldn't even find one of my doors. The hinges on almost every single door were proud of the door and the jam making the doors almost impossible to hang correctly.

We found one of our doors was cut crooked after paint so we called and were told they would take care of it. So we drove down yet again to fix their mistake dropped off the door was told 2 days they would have our new one. A week later they finally call and say it's done. Picked it up went to hang it and it's the wrong swing. I gave them a right hand swing that they just needed to duplicate (minus the 3/4" crooked cut) and they give me back a left hand swing.

If there is a project at hand this is the place to be to get started. Reminds me of the hardware store I went to as a kid with my dad. Shop where the contractors shop. Great prices. They even tell you thank with free soda :)

First time here. Couldn't find what I needed at lowes or home depot. Called over and asked if they had 2x12x16 boards in stock they did. Told guy at contractor counter what I needed. Paid for them and went out to the yard. Guy on forklift was quick to assist. He went and grabbed the wood and a few other employees helped finish getting me loaded. Super impressed with the team work and customer service. Thanks!

It was awesome as usual, I bought some new knee pads that were on the high side, but very high quality and the sales man worked on the price and gave me a great deal. Thanks Wheelwright

Would not help with questions about roofing material. Poned me off to some company that is wholesale only and no help there. I would not recommend this company.

The sales person closest to the door has a personality of a rock. (Where you pay for lumber).... other than that, all was good.

I really wanted to give 5 stars, the customer service dudes as the desk (for the Door Shop) were very friendly, very pleasant. However, they forgot to drill holes for the door knob on one of my doors and another guy on a forklift yelled at my wife while she was backing in even though she was asked to do so....but the prices are good and the work was fast so...meh.

I have never had a bad experience with the employees here, contrary to some of the comments made. They have answered my questions and have been very helpful. You will not get this kind of help at the big box stores, EVER! I would give them five stars but their website isn't that great.

Everything was all mixed up and it was hard to find the wood I was looking for. VERY crowded.

The staff here has very exceptional customer service, from the desk clerks to the yard pickers. Our order was only a few 2x6, but they treated us great! They know their stuff and their prices were better than other places in the area. I would highly recommend this company to anyone!

Wheelwright lumber is incredible. Branden has provided unbelievable service and support. Stephen Wheelwright has a great team. I have been able to come in under budget with superior materials than I could find at box stores. This is a hand written letter from the delivery driver that brought our doors. It validates the great hands on service you can expect from Wheelwright. Don t buy anywhere else. They definitely treat you like family.

In the past the lumber I have purchased from Wheelwright was first rate. A few days ago all of the 2x4s were splintered and some had bark remaining on them. I may have to buy my lumber elsewhere if this is the type of product the now stock.

Had a custom door made, perfect and 1/2 the price of Lowe's or Home Depot.

Great for minor things, but when ordering doors, delivery, ect., It has taken numerois calls with lots of confusion and things "lost" I ordered doors 2 months ago and I'm still working on getting them. I wish I had gone somew else, and I won't be going back. Very little respect and empty promises. Disappointing

I am not a carpenter and I took a door to the professionals at Wheelwright lumber. I left the hinges on so they could match where to put them. I figured they would move them to the new door. I told them I did not need the old door back. When I picked the new door up they had thown away the door and hinges and said there was no hinges on the door. When I got the new door home it is at least two inches taller than the opening. Their service is like they are walking on water and can do no wrong.

COMPLETELY WORTHLESS experience with the door shop there. If you aren't a contractor or Bob F###### Vila, don't waste your time. The guys who work the door shop, with the exception of one nice gentleman, are all crusty people who treat the lay person as a severe inconvenience. I would gladly pay more at another shop to work with people who at least aren't rude and condescending to their customers. I am sure my review will not hurt their business, but that type of treatment doesn't deserve a penny in my mind.

This is a great place to come for all your lumber needs. They have it all folks.

Good price on stuff but HORRIBLE customer service. The dark haired young lady at the front desk by the name of Ally is especially rude. I'm a manager at a large car dealership and if ANY of my employees were half as snooty and rude to my customers as her, I'd fire them immediately. I also waited until 3 separate visits to give this review just to make sure it wasn't just a bad day sorta thing because I deal with reviews all the time and understand how difficult it is to please some customers. I promise I'm not one of them! This young lady though, she's horrible and will absolutely affect my decision on shopping here. I might have mentioned this to a manager and given them another chance but every time I've been there, multiple people have witnessed so.... sorry wheelwright I'll shop elsewhere and provide alternative recommendations to people I know.

These guys are awesome! Ordered the lumber I needed to frame my basement with them at 5 pm on a Thursday and they delivered it 9 am the next morning! Faster than Amazon Prime! Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. Will for sure be going back to these guys for future needs. Oh, and they had better prices than others I got quotes from. Thanks Wheelwright!

Best prices in town. Wheelwright lumber is great to help support a small scale train in our neighborhood so I decided to support them as much as possible when finishing my basement. Reno in the doors department was the best person I worked with.

Wheelwright's Ogden facility really takes care of us at Wolseley Industrial Group, even though our orders are small. But when my customer Williams International needs something done, we know that Wheelwright will make sure that what we need is done, on time and on budget. I can always count on John or Mason to serve me well!

Worked with the store manager, he took as much time as I needed and helped me pick out the right products, even corrected me when I picked out an item that, based on his questions, he knew was not the best option. I buy all my hardware and lumber products here, cause I know they'll treat me right.

I was helped by a guy name matt he was every rude and kept rolling his eye he just seemed like he hated his job. And he kept checking his phone. I hope next time I can get better service

Horrible experience with Wheelright. I had been quoted a certain price on friday, monday comes around after checking what is in stock, and they are more than triple what they had quoted me on friday. They were really unprofessional in their business, and I will never be back.

This is the third time I have tried to go in and talk to their contractor guys about pricing for my deck. This time I just walked out. They are the most arrogant people I have talked to. Uncooperative and complete jerks. I have $13k in cash to spend on a deck and not only will I never spend a penny with these people I will pray for their bankruptcy and loss of business to the bigger chains. I usually love supporting local companies but in this case I can't wait for their failure. Recommend shopping anywhere but here.

I have been doing business at Wheelwright lumber most of my life, my father and grandfather came to Wheelwright lumber as well. This isn't some depot or those low guys this business is family owned and been around for more than 100 years old. You got to be good to last that long. When you come in the front door say hi to Lonna she will gladly point you in the right direction no matter your need, be it lumber, hardware, windows or doors they have it all. If it is doors you want see Matt in the door shop he will make all your door dreams come true. On your way out remember to stop at the gate so Lou can check and make sure you haven't forgot anything. They care about their customers and it shows.

Over 600 dollars worth of junk!

I started a major project on the rear of my mother's house which called for a substantial amount of lumber for a non contractor. In preparing the list of material that I was going to need I thought it would be nice to support a smaller local business rather than the large chain stores. I called Wheelwright lumber and placed my order to be picked up later that day. Biggest mistake was having them put the order together. First look at the order and already was in the process of getting a replacement for a split board that was visible on top, I told the nice person at the gate and first thing he said was "that's that order our driver put together" i commented I hope the rest of the order isn't like this and nothing was said. I continued the long ride home and started unloading the order. Every board had a major flaw in it. I should have taken it back but my thoughts were u guess this is what you get these days. Well with some design changes along the way because of the poor lumber I decided I better back to back some beans in fear of lack of integrity. I decided to go to one of the chain stoes I originally decided against and found unbelievable quality compared to what I received from the lumber company, I never came across one board as bad as the best board I had from them.

The only reason I give one star if for the service of the people I dealt with direct. I will never go to this place again and feel i was taken advantage of because of being a non contractor.

Everyone told us to go to Wheelwirght they were the best in the business. I find it hard to believe. We ordered 7 full doors and two bi-fold sets from them. Provided exact measurements with full definitions of what was needed. Provided them with the door style we wanted making it as easy as possible for them. Not only did it take longer to get the doors than expected, but they also screwed up 4 of the doors needed. Two of the doors a bi-fold and solid core door were not cut to the correct height, and 2 of them were left hand swing instead of right hand swing. After returning them and walking them through what we needed in extreme detai. This time they took notes on each of the doors. They called and stated the doors were done, just 3 days later. My husband got there to pick them up and one of the doors that had to be right hand was not even built and he had to wait an hour to get it done. Waiting in the parking lot on hot asphalt in 98 degree heat. He gets it home to find, what do you know, yet again they screwed up. The door that they had to cut down was cut down alright, but the handle hole is over an inch lower than all of the other doors, and they didnt sink the top two hinges. Alas this will be the last door purchase we make with them. So very unsatisfactory.

Great high quality products. Prices are good, but better if I went through my contractor.
