My son Jordan and I have members for 7 years and enjoy shooting together. Excellent 12 lane pistol range so each lane sets own distance. Seldom busy or crowded. Steel plates are hung. Each member a RSO so watch each other. More relaxed than staff barking orders. Offers lunch on the weekends. Great programs for youth. Officers are working to improve the club. 3 rifle ranges out to 200 yards. Consider the club a great value. Have made many friends
I have been a member for several years and have 2 sons currently 26 and 24. I have decided not to renew my membership this year as have my sons. My youngest son took 2 guests to teach them to shoot and got a dressing down from the range officer without violating any range rules. He is an rso and dues paying member and was doing nothing wrong. Those three young men will not be part of the clubs future unfortunately. My older son made an appt. to qualify on the 50 yd standing rifle. when he met with the range officer, he was rude and condescending and snarled at my son about a sling requirement. My son politely pointed out to him there was no sling requirement for that qualification and the officer reluctantly agreed. He was rude and snotty. I was there , and observed this behavior. During the 2016 site in days, my friend and I signed in to site in our rifles for deer season. we were there early, left our firearms in the building and due to the amount of people, stepped out the side door with our coffee to chat. A range officer stepped out and told us to get back inside. I don't know what rules we broke then but we felt pretty foolish for breaking them. I know safety is paramount and my sons and I always follow the rules. The experience is not relaxing and fun anymore. We were never regulars and many range officers probably did not recognize us, I understand that. As dues paying members though, we deserve some respect. Sadly, I, My sons, and any future members they may have brought in will not be a part of the club.
This is the range to belong to if you are an avid sportsman. Archery-Shotgun-Pistol-Rifle and Air Gun ranges are the some best around. Great food and drinks too!
Had the best experience there sighting in our guns.
Spotters assist you with sighting in your gun. Very well organized.
Private sportsman club. Enjoyed visit here with members. Very friendly people.
We really enjoy this facility. The youth archery program in the summer and winter are the main draw for us right now, but soon we hope to enjoy the firearm facilities. Thanks to all the archery volunteers!
WWCCA is a nice club. If you're looking for a place to shoot your pistols or an occasional rifle, it's great.
If you're more experienced with firearms, the mass of inexperienced shooters and retirees will grind on you.
Sadly, common sense is no longer applicable on the range. Instead, you're bombarded by individuals with nothing better to do than enforce rules they openly disagree with (if you have shot at island lake, you know what I'm talking about).
It's also annoying to drive all the way out, only to be told it's "sighting in days" and that you're going to have to PAY to use the range... Even though you paid club dues and a yearly range fee!
Hitting the range should be an enjoyable and relaxing experience, especially for a club so outspoken on the preservation of liberty and freedom. Firearms Safety is one thing... Nagging shooters on the firing line is another!
It was a decent experience, I went there to take my Hunter safety course. It was a breeze, I got one wrong, but there was a guy just cutting me with his stare like he wanted to end my life, I don't know why, but I felt the silent hate in my soul.
Great Club. Has 200, 100, 50 and 25 yard ranges, shotgun, air rifle, archery, black powder....and more. Active community.
This is by far the most disorganized, least customer service gun club I have been to in 30 years. I have too much to say here but trust me, if you MUST shoot skeet or trap and have to be within 15 mins of location, keep driving. This isn t it. Seems like only the private ranges around here have even a little clue and they re not top drawer either
