It was rad! Great prices and a wide selection of music. Also I was in for a total throwback when I saw the listening stations (something I thought no one did anymore)! Will visit again on my next trip to Austin.

Edit 12/31/19: Just fixed a grammar mistake!

Nothing says Keep Austin Weird better than Waterloo Records. check out their website for live instore performances and signings. I love it because they are open late on the weekends when you just want to get out of the house and stroll around downtown without all the partying!!!! Love it!!

A huge variety, if you re looking for something there s a good chance you ll be able to find it here. A little bit expensive but worth it for the collection and atmosphere, a truly Austin business that supports locks musicians and festivals.

What a fun and quirky little record shop that is totally representative of Austin!

They have an amazing selection of not only CDs but vinyls as well (I have found some pretty cool rare and vintage vinyls here) and they even carry books and other music memorabilia.

The staff here can be very hi...

Great selection of records and local! My big downside is that I wanted to drop by and grab a record, but they're closed to the public and by appointment only. (This is not communicated well at all). Appointments can be made up to a week out and are 30 minute slots. This is annoying because my shop w...

I'm not sure whether the market for vinyl has simply gone off the rails the last 5 years, or if the real estate is simply ultra expensive, but you aren't gonna find many $0.99 records here. Wildly expensive, catering to the just bought a turntable yuppie crowd. Plenty of sealed, new $40+ records ava...

Waterloo is one of the few remaining record stores in the country. Everytime I go there, it is like stepping back in time to when I use to by records. They have a great selection of records and discs. One of my favorite things about Waterloo, is their in-store performances. You can get up close and ...

I would've put 5 stars without a doubt because I had nothing but positive experiences in the store...except for the fact that they've sold me multiple bootlegs, "unofficial copies", or whatever else they're called without stipulating otherwise. When I called to investigate I was told the records, wh...

I haven't been in an actual record store in many, many years. MP3s and iTunes Music Store has all but shut down a majority of these once popular gems of our culture. Waterloo Records, backed by the Austinites that love it, keeps up this tradition but also maintains to stay relevant in the digital li...

We enjoy visiting Waterloo records. They have a large selection of vinyl but they could definitely do better and stock some lesser known bands like bob moses, flora cash, Frank ocean and syml. Parking spots are very small even for compact cars and the vinyl aisles get very crowded. Overall a cool ...
