My sisters and I had a terrific experience with Joel Rothman at UPRS Group, an unclaimed asset recovery company. Another company had come to us years ago offering to try to recoup unclaimed assets but they wanted to take a 35% commission and we refused. Our mother tried to do the paperwork herself, but failed because it was not a straightforward process. UPRS reached out to us and offered to retrieve the asset for a 10% commission. The asset had belonged to the estate of our grandmother, who died 40 years ago. Her executor, our father, was also no longer living. So the case was complicated, and it took a ton of research and ingenuity. Paperwork of various kinds needed to be filled out, including statements from the second executor of our grandmother's will and the executor of our father's will. There is no way we would have been able to do this work ourselves. In the end, Joel Rothman and his staff retrieved for us a $46,000 asset that was being held by the state of Connecticut. They were, throughout the process, upbeat, professional, resourceful and good communicators. It was a pleasure working with them, and I would highly recommend their services.
