First, this is a co-op company so I'm not going to low-rate the owners, am I. For the single-star folks, get involved with the board.
A thunderstorm just rolled through here, power's down, and the trucks out. The weather is terrible and the service area is vast. I think UP does a great job of servicing such a widely varied customer base.
I suppose that a stellar 5-star rating from everyone might not lend room for improvement, but this is a solid 4.4-star co-op. No hate here.
Usually just spacey people but that last person I spoke to was great. I would say what ever she did she used my deposit to pay my bill in April. I Would have had to wait a year to get it back. 300$ was put to my April payment. So this month I was able to pay my May payment so now I am not behind.I wish I would have remembered her name. Who ever helped me I am so appreciative of her assistance. Thank you mystery women.
Had an excellent experience with Elena... she was very professional and helpful! Also had a great experience talking to her. Would recommend
Charges are too high. Fixed charge of 19 dollars per bill. Demand charge of 1.50 dollars per Kwh, and 9.95 cent of actual kwh usage. This is ridiculous and rip off. I just moved to my new house and got stuck with this expensive company. In my previous house, I was with xcel energy with fixed charge of 5.47 dollars, actual usage rate of 5.46 cent per Kwh and no demand charge.
Complete rip off for split power. They keep changing the way it works. It went from $20 to be connected to them cashing out my banked time several times a year to not evening using my bank in peak hours and charging me. Company is a joke.
I have solar panels installed and I consume zero kWh from the company but I still have to pay $29 a month.
They have this demand charge - for the kWh you consume in the highest 15 minutes, charged at $1.50 per kWh when the regular price is 0.0995!
And the they have the fixed charge of $19 for...?? Not sure for what. Installed wires ? Maintenance that never happens? Outrageous
My parents are an elderly couple and purchased a property where United Power will be installing power, they made a payment of approximately $25,000 and here we are almost 4 months later and no power!!! This is absolutely ridiculous, any suggestions o how to get them to get this taken care of?
Recently I contacted United Power to have a yard light bulb replaced. I rec'd a call from a very professional woman who explained that they would be out to put in an entire new light fixture, stating it would take place within 10 working days. The technician arrived with in 2 days, and did a great job. The tech was also professional, and did a great job.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU FOR DOING A GREAT JOB.
Terrible. All but refuses to communicate with customers. With Covid killing thousands a day, a representative of the company actually suggested an in person meeting. I guess emails with their "paper trails" and the like are just too difficult.
Another power outage. Get on the web site to look and all it says is power outage in your area nothing else. United Power gives no estimated time power will be back on. Just like being in Broomfield at times when power goes out
