Uncut Casting

They're interested in you until they get you. I thought they are very professional and nice in the beginning but once I signed in with them, I had to forward my mails twice to get an answer, especially when I'm having a problem. Also found them disorganized since two other people were giving me different answers about the same subject. I signed off. There are better casting services out there.

I just joined last week, haven't got booked 'yet. But I'm excited from reviews and clients I've met on Set.
Pierce and Melissa are Super Nice! and very professional hopefully the the rest of the Staff and Owners are the same,
looking forward to work soon and give it my best shot!

I ve been with Uncut approximately a year and have no complaints. I have worked on many awesome shows and learned as well. I originally signed up for the Gold package, because I like the idea of not paying monthly or annual. After a year with Uncut, I ve decided to upgrade my membership.

Uncut had a nice Holiday Party, to show their appreciation for their clients which I thought was really nice. I was able to meet the voices behind the scene, and we all had a nice time.

Meeting Jacques was a bonus. We ve talked on the phone and when I walked in to the Holiday event he recognized me and by name He greeted me and was very engaging. Not to mention his charming personality, I love his bubbly and humorous tone. I m excited about the future and look forward to what 2020 will bring. Thanks Uncut for an Awesome year!

I joined UnCut in March and have been happy with them. They booked my first background job quickly. Recently I did body double work and had a great experience. UnCut was very professional as usual and they answer questions very promptly. The owner called my phone to make sure the job went smoothly and was a good listener.

I have been working with this agency for the last 3-Years and I must say they are definetly one of the most adequate casting agencies around. I have had the pleasure of being a casted talent with multiple Commercial Film and Print productions for top brands such as; Verizon, Coors Light and Dr. Pepper. I have also worked on popular shows such as; Grey's Anatomy, How To Get Away With Murder and many others! As a talent of Uncut Casting, I have learned so many hands-on tools about the Entertainment Production Industry that would of took me ages to learn in school (not to mention countless dollars LOL!). I highly recommend Uncut! I've only been with them for a few months but so far, they've been able to book me a lot. Jacques and his team are super friendly, helpful and respond quickly anytime I have a question (even after hours). Their online system is really easy to use. Check them out!

Uncut's sign up process was easy and there's no monthly membership fee. After the signup, you only pay when you work. Last week when things were slow for everyone I know, Uncut booked me on a tv show, a short film, and on a big name higher-rate project as well. They also frequently contact me by text about other short notice bookings and about other non-BG gigs that are great sources of income.Super friendly and professional as well.

Difficult to get my refund back as it took a lot of confusing emails so just be aware of that. You may get lots of work but when it comes to admin, it will take a lot of your time to work out any billing issues.

Uncut got me some work last year. It wasn't bad when I first signed up.

Mostly what I want to comment on was the top notch customer service!!! Jacques is so generous! I ended up receiving a full refund for a charge they weren't required to refund. And the staff went above and beyond! It's hard to find good customer service in this city, but I was pleasantly surprised for the first time in a long time! Great work guys! Thank you for your integrity. It definitely will be remembered.

Uncut casting has been super helpful in getting me work and have always been professional. Just got booked on Perry Mason! I ve got to work lots of fun jobs. The website is also very easy to use. You can keep your schedule up to date on the website and they work around that for you. The booking fees are also very reasonable. I would suggest checking this place out.

Almost immediately after signing up with them they started getting my name out there for work. I ve already signed on for a spot on Greys Anatomy which is kind of insane considering how much time I ve been with another larger name service whic I won t mention, and said other service has gotten me nothing so far. The employees are all kind and professional but more importantly they got me work!

Not for me. I was looking for management representation, not to be an extra. They have too many nit-pick charges. I wasn't having any of it.

After 2 years of not submitting me to any Central casting jobs (that I book myself), they booked me 13 times thru Jeff olan who I book myself thru and they have the nerve to try to bully me into being ok with that. Why when I book myself 95% more times than you do?

I have been with Uncut Casting for less than a year and I am happy with the results. The website is user friendly, and managing my availability is very easy. They have booked me on great jobs for background, featured and even lead roles.

I've been with Uncut for more than two years and I have to say this was one of my best discoveries and smartest moves I've made. They work really hard to provide opportunities for working actors - union and nonunion. I am currently non-union and received my first union voucher with them. I have had steady work with them even on slow seasons. Of course they encourage you to sign up with Central Casting and Jeff Olan but for a beginner's mark they are a pretty good one. The first job will pay for your initial fees and they only take a small percentage from every job - NO MONTHLY FEES like other agencies. I highly recommend them!

I recently signed up with Uncut Casting and I worked on the new Julia Roberts Amazon series "Homecoming" and HBO's "Big Little Lies!" Two top notch shows my first two times out. Your personal calendar is easy to navigate and the process for booking confirmation is very easy. Professional company, reasonable fees and they will get you work!

In three years with Uncut, this is my assessment. Yours is probably gonna be different.

As far as calling services perform, this ranks highly among the best for your money and results. Nearly all calling services charge you monthly rates. Some charge yearly rates. Uncut offers a one time lifetime membership fee provided you

- Update your availability weekly (easy)
- show yourself accountable & reliable

In my experience, the following impact the amount of work you book:

DIRECTLY:
Your look and skill set
the level of demand for them for relevant productions
the level of reliability of your transportation
the number of locations/regions of L.A. you're willing to travel to
your conduct on set and off

After this, there's the matter of choosing the plan that works best for your station at the station of life you're in.

First, of all, is doing what we can do the best we can. Update your availability weekly and show up early regularly and be easy to work with.

Anticipate traffic delays and plan the safest and quickest ways ahead to make your call time at least ten to fifteen minutes early in order to avoid causing production delays in your end.
Uncut is on your side provided you keep the communication lines with them open and reach them ASAP..

CHOOSING A PLAN:
Skip the Silver membership as it is a waste of your time and money. Non union actors do best with the Gold membership at $150 for the whole year.
While I've heard that other calling services book more work for a lot more money,
Uncut anticipates lulls between seasons.
Jacques, its founder and manager since 2001, offers loyal clients a lifetime* membership as a way of expressing his thanks for staying with them.

Save the Platinum for when you go Union, as Uncut will send you on auditions they feel you may be right for with this.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Give Uncut at least a year as a Gold level member before giving them a final weigh-in.

I have to say that Uncut Casting is, Great. I was with Uncut Casting About 5 years ago and i booked many Gigs TV, and Film, I Enjoyed the Casting Company so much i never forgot about them. Especially , Jacques, (The Owner). He was really great with keeping in contact with me and submitting me for work, up until i had to move to Dallas Texas. Now that i am currently back in Los Angeles, 5 years later. I reached out to one of the Casting agents today and set my appointment for Monday the 13th, i will be registering and signing up for one of their best packages. Great booking service. Only pay when you work! Just booked an awesome music video at a higher rate with a big celebrity. Staff is helpful and willing to answer your calls. They work with a variety of casting directors so the work is varied and interesting. Since signing up I've done photo shoots, stand in work, tv, film and a music video.
