There is an electrical program at UMass Boston. Located along the Harbor Walk in Dorchester the scenery is one of the nicest college campuses in the USA. There is also a chemistry and physics undergrad coursework to study. This is a quick commute from downtown Boston about 15 minutes yet the scenery...
Alot of construction going on. Non of the GPS updated the new route, so it might be a bit difficult to find where you are going if you don't know this place well. Food is overpriced. Faculty and staff are mostly nice. Good study enviroment.
I graduated a while ago and it was pretty great then, but over the last few years this university has become really awesome! Honors College, great new Integrated Science Complex and fascinating research happening, new art/music and theater studios and performance spaces coming online, the Venture De...
I took 3 credits here to complete my degree at Tufts University. I loved all my classes at U-Mass Boston. They were very informative and I learned a lot. The professors were very nice and sweet and they were concerned with our learning and how much we were learning. In some of my political science c...
It's fantastic to see the blue ocean water by sitting in our lab! Newly constructed Integrated Science Complex offers state-of-the--art research facility for Biology and Chemistry major. Cafeteria located in the Campus Center is great with variety of food options. The campus would be aesthetic after...
I had the worst experience with this university. Their administration is THE worst and slowest and the most inefficient. If you want them to process something, good luck, you are waiting for anywhere between four to six months (that is when you are lucky). The campus was built from a jail- anybody c...
I received my undergraduate degree in Management here in 2008. I had such a positive experience, the professors are extremely knowledgeable and go above and beyond to make your learning experience beneficial. I received my Masters from Northeastern and the quality of education at UMB was extremely c...
I'm glad I didn't go to this school. Poor planning, construction, a joke.... I was invited to attend campus, and it is a poorly organized and constructed area. The classrooms and offices are cells with no windows. I don't see anything that would make me come here.
A small, but updated campus, I enjoyed walking through here. It is a ways from downtown Boston, but wasn't hard to find. It is also located right next to the Atlantic Ocean.
You cannot imagine how bad this university is. The worst of the worst. If you choose to either study here or work here, that equals committing suicide. Usually a university will have pros and cons. This university has all the cons that you can possibly imagine and not even one pro. It is in a bad ne...
Very nice university I am studying here.every helping staff and everyone.but the campus can be more better then this. These days construction going on.hopefully it will become more beautiful..
Beautiful Oceanside campus, nice staff, some teachers don t fit my learning style, but that s to be expected. Parking right now is a nightmare, but with new renovations on the way.
Amazing university, makes you feel welcome no matter what's your color, background, or beliefs. They make you feel valued and warmly welcomed, such a happy comfortable environment and have exceptional professors!
Umass Boston is full of diversity, a great campus to see different culture and learn. The cafeteria food is always full of variety and the campus center is always full of life.
I work here as staff and find the working environment pretty good. My bosses have been good, my coworkers are dependable, and the students seem well behaved and conscientious (most of the time). The new buildings are nice, and the harbor walk is kind of amazing, and the beach is very chill. Good lu...
UMASS Boston has a Beautiful campus on the waterfront! It is building two Brand new buildings as student housing with a dinning hall on the first floor, overlooking the Boston harbor with a million dollar view. UMASS Boston has a collaborative research program with Dana Farber Cancer Institute tha...
My niece is about to be a student there and we just going to make her transfer now because the man at their financial aid office was very rude to her, she asks is there any scholarship or financial aid for international students and their man said no , she was talking to me and she said well this su...
Great public research university. Professors really engage into the student's education and the quality of education. Majority professors in Math and CS department contains PhD from Ivy league schools that are: MIT, Havard, Princeton, Cornell and Yale. Talking about Ivy League quality education with...
Quality education for sure, but the continued price hikes in tuition and fees coupled with a campus that is extremely time-consuming to get to by public transport and by driving (and then there is so little parking on campus). I wish there were closer vendors and food places beside campus food.
I'm currently a Sophomore at UMB and want to try and provide a completely honest, unbiased review of the school.
I'll start off with pro's - most of the services staff seem to really care about their students. Everyone I've ever dealt with for any services I've needed has been incredibly helpful....
How can all these supposed graduates of UMB not even be able to communicate effevtively? Most of the reviews are given by those whose spelling and grammar are atrocious.
My guess is that the ones who give such a poor review never got accepted, never mind graduated from the university. Thanks. S...
I am a student here at UMB, the professors are great. The administration is bureaucratic and inefficient and lacks transparency on any basic level. Parking here is dependent upon arrival time. If you get here at 10:20 good luck finding a space in bayside, probably will have to park at the globe. Cli...
UMass Boston is a work in progress in any way you can imagine. After being here for two years, one can suffice to say it is an inadequate place to receive the best college experience. Although it has a nice ocean view, it is impossible to walk through this campus without hearing a self proclaimed p...
It's a good value Public University. Anyone who is interested in a career either in Management, Social Sciences, Public Service or Education should consider this school.
Great campus, they are always adding something new. Beautiful campus to sit outside & overlook the water in between classes. Great atmosphere, professors, staff. Love this school.
When I applied for the Spanish/English translation program I was told that I should wait for the entrance exam results before enrolling in the University and I was informed I would receive a pass/fail grade of that exam in approximately 3 weeks. Although the enrollment deadline would have been the 1...
