The best managed hotel in Istanbul in Taksim. The staff are real professional hotelier characters. Very good service, friendly and helpful people. Sami Bey, Murat Bey and the receptionist who serve at the night salute the hotel management and I appreciate the owners.

I came for Hair transplant and stayed there for 3 night from 21st of July to 24th. Room in a good standard. Location was great as it was very central. I booked extra days to sightsee and I managed to see everything I wanted in just one day. You can borrow a hotspot device from reception for a day and that will give you access to wifi on your phone. I used it for google maps to not get lost. There is a metro station Sishane about 10 min walk from hotel. If you're interested in using public transport instead of taxis you can purchase Istanbul card for 6 lira at metro station and then top it up. It takes about 15 min to walk to Karakoy station from where you can tram T1 which takes to Haghia Sophia, Blue mosque and Topkai palace. Each time you tap that card its 3.5 lira. Loads of nice restaurants and pubs within walking distance . Staff always friendly and helpful

Troya is located near to the Istiklal street. Rooms are smaller in sizes. But, I would still like to rate them 5/5. Rooms are equipped with touch screen buttons. Troya host live music night + bellydance on the roof. You can catch a glimpse of Golden horn from the roof.

Very bad experience. This hotel does not even deserve 1 star I am sure that the people who gave a good review not frequented other hotel
1- the beds are super mini and make too much noise
2- duvet covers do not exist in this hotel and there are many traces of cigarettes on the duvets. I will try to put pictures.
3- hygiene levels 0 I saw the cleaning lady enter 2 rooms with the same gloves
4- there are windows but do not overlook anything at all or the other rooms the most important is that the roofs are closed suddenly when it melts the household they turn off the air conditioning and open the windows. Result smells of cigarettes entering the room and it is very annoying
5- no ventilation in the corridors suddenly unpleasant odor
6- the windows are simple so the rest side does not exist and on Saturday nights they party on the roofs impossible to sleep
7- I had an allergy because of their sheet which will not change unless we take them off and put them on the floor ourselves I will put pictures.

Its a good option for someone who's planing on spending a good vacation being mostly out exploring, cz it's reasonably priced. You can't expect anything fancy, but it's clean and the staff are really nice and helpful, especially the manager, which makes everything alot more comfortable and pleasant. Rooms are small, we had to move to another room to be more comfortable which was ok since it wasn't a huge price difference. Breakfast isn't great, it is a bit messy, not very vegetarian friendly, but they do have options and it was fresh everyday which is good. Room service was yummy, big portions and alot of optionsas well. We tried the Alfredo Pasta, and the veggie quesadillas and a salad, everything was good.
I'd say give it a try cause the location is great, right behind the mid of istiklal street, 5min walk to buses and train.

Hi
Since most of Istanbul's hotels are small and with no balconies, it was not bad.
But we were not satisfied with the room's condition, though the rooms were charged with a reminder.
Breakfast was great.
Great access to shopping malls.
The staff behaved well.
But the rooms were small and dark.
Overall average.

It is exactly what it says a 4 star hotel. Very nice and has tons of perks but little things prevent it from reaching 5 stars. There are often things not fully working (lift buttons and the spa was not working throughout my 2 day stay). However the staff are very friendly and the hotel rooms are nice and cosy for their pricepoint.

A great hotel and restaurant of small size, but its wooden design and restaurant overlooking the top of the mountain leaves you no choice but to enjoy the beauty and magnificence of the views
Note I did not stay at the hotel but I sat in the restaurant on a lunch meal
Good luck

Not too expensive hotel 2 steps from the pedestrian street with the correct comfort even if the rooms are rather small. Important: the environment of the hotel is quiet, which is rare in beyoglu, neighborhood of bars and noisy restaurants! a lot of rooms overlook small dark courtyards. some bathrooms are starting to degrade but it's ok overall. Sports room in the basement and lunch terrace with stunning views. Breakfast can be improved in quality.

I really wouldn't bother. The noise and state of the rooms wasn't worth it.
Ground floor is nice....not much else is.
Issues:
1. The ceiling in our Room was stained and flaking above the beds from a leak.
2. The room (on 6th floor of 8) was tiny. So cramped.
3. The terrace was on 8th floor. Broken windows and cracked glass panels in floor.
4. Breakfast was from 7.30am. We had an early start so turned up 7.30....staff didn't turn up until 7.45am and made themselves breakfast before setting up! Thank god for the woman cooking who did all the work.
5. They run evening meals on terace with a live band. The noise even from 2 floors down was deafening until gone midnight. Absolutely horrendous nights sleep. Couldn't wait to leave.
Avoid at all costs. Would have had a better nights sleep in the doorway over the road with the local tramp.

Terrible hotel. Noisy!
Walls and floor are not insulated, as such you can hear every time someone showers or flushes the toilet.
Additionally to this, the hotel restaurant has music playing until 1:30am every Thursday to Sunday!
Also, lot's of the guests smoke, making it very unpleasant.

Best to find a better hotel!
