Nothing could drive this place's faithful away. Not the funky bathrooms. Not the creepy ghost stories about who might have been offed in there over the last 30 years... not even a possible Billy Abraham sighting is enough to scare people off. The joint has plenty of well-earned rep as a great neighborhood bar with a fabulous kitchen. AND YES... the nachos are that good.

Two bartenders didn't know what a Tom Collins consisted of. Neither did I but I googled it for them and they didn't have what it takes to make one. After two pricey tequila sunrise that tasted like sludge I called it a night and had to take my production designer elsewhere.

An MUST for any body in or visiting El Paso. If Chicos was a bar, it would be the Tap.
All sorts of people come to this place. Lawyers & Judges (it's next the Courthouse), Anglo oil fielders (it's near the El Paso Del Norte), Bumms (all over downtown & greyhound a few blocks away), and of course hipsters that love the Sucia bars.
Food is a bit pricey!
Pool table effectively inoperable.
Peeps awesome and drinks reasonably priced.

Must try the nachos. Every table we're offering them. I loved them. Must try, if you visit The Tap. Atmosphere was great also. Different variety of people & music.
