The Scotsman Hotel

We had a lovely afternoon tea for two with a small cup of soup included. Charged for extra cup of coffee. Only downside was our chairs seemed low, we could hardly see one another when the three tiered stand was placed on table. Piano music is played on the balcony on a Saturday. Maybe a bit loud where we were sitting but that depends on music played. Nice atmosphere. Got very busy around 2.00pm. Negative point: Ladies toilet cubicles were very small.

Matthew behind the bar asked us our preferences on drinks and made sure that we were more than happy with the drinks we had... Which was sooooo much appreciated and absolutely delicious! Julia was there by our side the whole night JUST INCASE we needed anything. Alex was sooooo fun and accommodating, we felt so at home when we met him.... He s the face of the restaurant and he s a gem to the company

We were lucky enough to have our 'wee wedding' at the Scotsman Hotel - and they truly were instrumental in making it just the perfect day for us. We were treated like royalty from the moment we walked through the door. Every element of our stay was perfect, with the Scotsman team going above and beyond at every turn. The service, amenities, rooms, luxury feel, and location were five star. From the warm welcomes, attention to detail, infinite patience, and consummate professionalism, it was a superb experience. Perfect stay to celebrate a very special occasion.

Fabulous hotel in the centre of Edinburgh, clean and modern rooms and everything you need for your stay. Staff very welcoming and nothing is to much trouble.

Well worth the price . We got the executive suite and the room was laid out beautifully. 60inch TV and a comfy bed . Good customer service and staff have excellent customer service . The bathroom was laid out well too. Location is good as it is 1 minute away from Edinburgh train station
