Super friendly staff, happy to see hash browns on the menu. Good came promptly and was very satisfying. Couldn't decide on a drink, waitress suggested plain soda water, it hit the spot! My kid loves the blackhawks memorabilia all over
The oatmeal is great. The chicken sausage is flavorful but a bit tough. Service is always attentive and cheerful. The other was there this time, he was friendy and solicitous.
I know I'm in the minority here, but I didn't get the hype. Service is okay, friendly enough, but the food was mediocre (avoid the pancakes) and over-priced. Not sure how anyone would call it good diner good with so many better options.
I first walked thru the entrance on October 23rd 1990, when there was only the counter. There were people on every stool, and three deep behind and orders were flying! Since then, George has changed the look of the Palace, awesome, and kept the quality and his family legacy going strong, and in my o...
Favorite place to take family, friends, and pretty much anyone that wants great food and environment (go hawks). Many items to choose from, and maybe even some jokes from George the owner. Cheers to the Palace Grill!
American food... very delicious. got there about one, it wasn't busy. i had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. it has an awesome atmosphere. atmosphere and food reminds me of virginia beach.
American food and service here is excellent. I give this place two thumbs up. I will probably become a regular. This place has a good feel to it. Feels similar to a cafe in Chicago I loved.
Great place for lunch or breakfast. This diner has so many things going for it. 1. Kind employees who treat customers excellent. 2. Food is excellent and made with fresh products. 3. Kept very clean 4. Ownership cares about the family business. Impressive they have been in business for 80 years!
I love this truly special vintage Chicago Diner on Madison Street in the West loop. I've tried the corned beef hash and the biscuits and gravy. Both are fantastic with great service too.
I was here with my nephew who plays hockey and this was great for him. They have hockey memorabilia all across the walls. The food is also very good and the staff is very interactive and fun. My nephew ordered Pancakes with bacon and his bacon did not show up with all of his other food, but when it ...
Palace grill restaurant sounds royal but it is the lowest class of low class eatery in Chicago. Food is burnt, senior employees hate their job, this is the only cash only restaurant I have ever been to in the past 15 years since I got my first debit and credit cards. This is 2018, era of Venmo and ...
Best breakfast in the city! Must haves: Omelettes and skirt steak skillet...Hands down the BEST in the City. Get a taste of REAL Chicago food, friendliness & family. No strangers here, just friends you haven't met yet.
Food was delicious, enjoy the dine in experience, plus service was awesome. Recommend this place if you ever in the downtown Chicago area. Lots of black hawks memorabilia.
Great West Loop Diner. Has awesome hashbrowns and does a great job serving the typical diner fare. Huge portions at a reasonable price. This place is a west loop staple and always awesome if you want diner food. A must dine.
Our family was visiting from out of town and ate here before we drove home. It was clean, friendly, and delicious. It felt like a really special place. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Chicago!!
I was so shocked to see a negative review of the Palace that I am actually writing a review, something I otherwise never do. This place is beyond great! The food is fantastic, great stick-to-the-ribs, solid, delicious food. If you are a newbie to the Palace, try their fantastic Denver omelet. Or...
WOW!! This food was maybe the best breakfast I've ever had while eating out. I ordered the steak skillet with French toast and I've never been so delighted to eat! This food had so much flavor and it was cooked perfectly!! I ordered tea also, and they bring out a Harney and Sons box to your table fo...
I love this restaurant, it is a classic Chicago stop. They have great food, decently priced with amazing staff. Highly recommended in the area, come check it out.
We love stopping in here before Blackhawks games. It's cool to see everyone in their jerseys surrounded by all of the jerseys and photos of the Hawks on the walls. The omelet and burger I've had were both great. The owner and staff have always been really nice. It's busy before games, but not a lot ...
The best Breakfast & Omelet I ever ate anywhere ,same for a Lunch , if you are having a bad day , Stop by and meet George , if you are not laughing when you leave you need to see a Dr. After 80 years in business there must be something magic about the one and only Palace Grill and a guy named ...
Diner near that United Center that has great breakfast. Type of place that I can go in my pajamas on a Sunday morning. Gyro omelet is awesome as is the Chocoltae Chip pancakes. Would suggest asking for your hashbrowns well done.
Thank you to George, Christina and the whole Lemperis Family for your gifts to children at the Lurie Children's Hospital. Saw you all on Windy City Live - you made these kids a little happier by granting their special wishes. YOU are extraordinary because you...
Palace Grill Restaurant a place to wear your hockey jersey. Love the Farmers Skillet, little bit of all the meats making a greasy breakfast meals. The owner is normally greeting people. Servers are great, super busy and helpful. Apparently they cater I got the message about that. Maybe one day I...
