Absolutely incredible place and best of all its FREE, yes you heard me free. Except of course for special exhibits but who cares you still get to see Van Gogh's, DaVinci's, Constables, and so much more. You really could spend at least 2 to 3 days here just wandering the galleries.

Beautiful building, artwork is mostly all "white religious people", redeems itself by having monet, if you avoid the more tedious "white religious people" and can quickly find the real artists like monet, you can actually enjoy yourself here

Full of paintings - who would have thought it...?

Actually I jest. The National Gallery is one of the jewels in London's crown. A source of culture and of constant surprises - you turn a corner and suddenly realise you are a foot away from a work of art you are familiar with from textbooks, magaz...

One of the greatest museums of paintings in the world. Free entry. Overcrowded in summer time with morons who take selfies of themselves with the paintings in the background without actually looking at the paintings. But every era and epoch is there. Some of greatest paintings ever hang on the walls...

Some of the world's greatest art on display in one building. The impressionist rooms house paintings you already know (meaning they get busy at peak season) but there's much more to explore, including seasonal exhibits. And, it's free!

An excellent collection of the nation's historically important portrait paintings. I enjoyed reading about the subject's history as well as marvelling at the skill and techniques of the artists who painted them. Oh yes - and the best cup o' tea in London we had in the cafe in the cellar.

Arrived 9:40am and luckily didn't have a long line. Very nice gallery, easily navigated. The paintings are well displayed. The staffs are extremely nice too. And it is free of charge, so do many museums in London. Really nice of the government to offer that.

One of the best collections all over the world. Really impressed with what they have as permanent (I really love impressionism, and they have quite a few top ones). I miss more Spanish paintings, but even like that, they have some.

You probably gonna need more than one day to really enjoy the art...
