The birchwood

Service and drinks were great. The food was , um, ok maybe. The pecan roll was amazing though. My protein was dry and hard to chew and my friend could cut her Eggs Benedict with a steak knife after upgrading in hopes of cutting it. LOL

We booked The Birchwood as our wedding venue in November 2020 for an August 2021 ceremony. The first person we were in contact with was Mary Barnett. She greeted our family with champagne and was very confident about the customer service we would receive during our wedding. From that moment on, we knew that The Birchwood is where we wanted to have our wedding. It was a very convenient location since we were able to get ready in their beautiful hotel rooms! The getting ready pictures we took in the rooms were stunning!

We can t thank The Birchwood enough for hosting our wedding in their Ballroom. If it wasn t for Heather Lorenz and the entire staff, our wedding would not have gone so smoothly! We really appreciate the time they took to make us feel special on our wedding day! Our entire family keeps raving on how beautiful the rooms were, and how nice everyone was to our family! Lauren at the front desk also went above and beyond for our family.

If you are looking for a wedding venue, The Birchwood is the full package! We would recommend them 1000%! You and your family won t be disappointed!

The Birchwood is an incredible hotel. Very clean and always busy. During my stay it was obvious to me that The Birchwood is a very popular location for locals and tourist. The restaurant has great food along with the two bars on location.
All of the staff are incredibly had working professionals. They take pride in their customers to give them the best experience. I must give an extra thank you to Miss Lauren Smith. I had to interact with her more than any other staff member. There were many times I would stand back and wait for Miss Lauren to catch a break. She would have five people at once asking for assistance. I was so impressed with Lauren and her ability to keep up with the demand of so many people. Miss Lauren never missed a beat. I hope the hotel takes care of her the way she takes care of the hotel. What an incredible lady. I will be returning to The Birchwood in the future due to all of the staff and especially Miss Lauren Smith. Thank you Lauren for being such a professional.

Georgouus hotel. Staff super friendly and helpful. Would love to visit again

We had reservations made at this hotel for a four day stay that we made six months in advance and the hotel manager canceled our reservation for no apparent reason and we didn t find out about that until we showed up to the hotel for our check in. Needless to say it was a very shocking experience and we had to scramble and find another hotel on one of the busiest weekends of the year in St. Petersburg and they did not offer to help us in anyway to try to locate another room or give us an explanation why that happened. We were so lucky us to get a free drink for our troubles while we are trying to find a new hotel to stay in. If you book a hotel room at this venue please call in advance to babysit the process because otherwise this could happen to you as well.

This hotel staff is a joke. Stay anywhere but here. No hot water. The property threatened to call the police when I requested engineering come to my room before checking out so I can shower. The assistant manager has the worst attitude and hung up on me. When I went to speak with them in person, an overweight male tried to intimidate me by threatening to trespass me and call the police. For the price you pay here, the service doesn t match. They proceeded to try and charge me $150 additional late check out fee. I tried to reach a resolution with the staff but clearly they are scamming and need the money more than I do just do the right thing by your customers! If there is not hot water, let s work on a resolution. Don t ruin my 30th birthday with threats and attitude.

In short: DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

Stayed here a second time and will always try to get a room when in town. Both rooms I stayed in were really nice and spacious. The bar downstairs is very classy. The breakfast was unexpectedly good with a large variety to choose from.

Stayed here for a music festival at Vinoy and the location was perfect! The staff was beyond helpful especially our room attendant Michelle. She and the young man checking us in and went over and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The room was clean and spacious- they brought us a mini fridge upon request. My only complaint is that the restaurants close way too early especially on one of the busiest weekends in St Pete so we never got to eat there after the festival ended at 10pm. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place. Great ambiance. I definitely recommend including this in your date night rotation. I must admit, I'm never blown away by the Birchwood, but it's solid and great ambiance.

This was so nice! My Mom& I were exploring St. Pete and just happened on this restaurant. Everyone was so nice and so helpful. We loved all of it-the whole experience. We will go again.
