Do not miss this if you are going to Tokyo. Book tickets beforehand, arrive early, kids will absolutely love it, there is no food inside the exhibition so have a big breakfast or take snacks in with you. It s a bit out of Tokyo but there is lots of other stuff to do in the area so you could make a day of it.

Amazing! Go early to avoid the lines inside. Buy tickets in advance. Don't go on the weekend. May cause dizziness, complete sensory overload! Unique one of a kind interactive art experience. Very kid friendly, but keep a sharp eye on your kids as it's dark and easy to get lost!

Amazing art installations. Lucky enough to grab some time as missed this one my first Tokyo visit. Guides mentioned minimum 5 hours here but I think with an off-peak season crowd, one can expect to cover it off within 3 hours. We came at 3pm and there was a 10 minute wait to enter. Overall great time here. There were several drink vending machine points but no food. There was a Wendy's outside however.

So I thought this was going to be awesome, but it seemed overly crowded, hard to find, several exhibits were closed and there was no solid guide to help ensure you're seeing everything you paid for. I also thought it was lame to wait for so long to get into a room and then be rushed out and have no time for peace or reflection of the art.

Go early! That is my suggestion. We got here late and we only have an hour to enjoy all the light effects. There's also a place wherein you have to wait in queue, which we did not see because we are late! Anyway, go to the place where you can draw some sea creatures and they will project it on the wall, you can also take your drawing home!

This place is fun to go to. You will need to have a lot of time to really enjoy what you paid for. As per the Japanese workers there, the usual time people tend to stay is more than 4 hrs~!

I really liked the exposition but the organization wasn't very good since the works weren't signalized.
The exit it's not marked (there was a lot of people asking how to leave) and the exposition itself it's chaotic as a maze, with rooms leading you to another rooms, so if you are claustrophobic, it's not your place.
Putting this things besides, the idea of digital work it's amazingly beautiful and original, I really enjoyed it.

Extremely interesting and beautiful artwork, slightly overcrowded however. We were recommend this as something we must do, and we were not disappointed.

Showed up at 9:50, 10 minutes before opening and there was already a long line. I d suggest arriving around 9:45 to ensure you re the first group to enter the museum. We were the second group to enter, and it was already getting quite crowded. Nonetheless we enjoyed all of the art works and rooms, however, it was difficult to navigate as there was no map or real flow of where you are supposed to go.

Overall, a great experience. Show up early to beat the crowds, and good luck navigating this dark space!

One of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. A beautiful exhibition like no other.
We turned up around 4pm, and stayed until just before closing at 7pm. Crowds were manageable and died down a lot towards the end. The pictures were taken around 6.45 so please bare in mind it's actually a lot busier for the rest of the day.
No food allowed anywhere inside, drinking in specific spots where there are vending machines.
Be sure to do the Crystal room in the middle of the ground floor, you wont regret it.

This is definitely the best museum experience ever in my entire life! The interactive exhibits bring on a whole new experience. Not only that, there's even a 'playground' area for slides, climbing obstacle course and trampoline! I felt like a boy lost in the Wonderland!! Never did I spend 5+ hrs in a museum!

Pro tip:
Make sure to be there early to beat the crowd so that you don't have to queue for some exhibits. Also you need a long time to fully cover all exhibits.

The rooms and art is pretty amazing. However, you can't enjoy the rooms in it's fullest intent as they cram way to many people in. You don't get to enjoy the beauty of the work as someone is trying to take a selfie of themselves or you are lining up for over 50 minutes getting into a room and then get chauffeured away. I rather go to the planets exhibit as it's more controlled and they book by timeslots. They should do the same here as I rather enjoy the experience without having to bump in to people constantly. Either enjoy the experiences of cattle getting lined up to enjoy 5 minutes of euphoria or skip this and go to planets instead.

Teamlab is definitely a must go in Tokyo! There are so many different rooms to see. All of them are so pretty and really good for photos. Some of the popular one need to queue up for more than an hour to get into, so go there earlier if possible. You should plan to stay there for at least 3+ hours to see most of the stuff. 4+ hr would be better in my opinion. Wear white tops would be best for photos! :)

Love this place!! Went there on a Friday and arrived around 12. No waiting line at this time and I expected it to be more crowded because of the other reviews. In the inside the longest line for a room was about 20 minutes. In total only two rooms had lines. Loved the athletic forest. We spent there approximately 3 hours, could have spent more time there but after a while our eyes got a bit tiered because of all the LEDs. It's hot inside because of the beamers, would recommend just to wear a shirt

This immersive and slightly overwhelming and disorienting (in the best of ways) exhibit shows today's augmented reality's best-in-class capabilities. Cleverly placed mirrors and lighting make spacious rooms infinitely big. But do yourself a favor - book tickets in advance for a weekday 10am reservation - and show up 15 minutes early. Although they manage good crowd control, the lines are very long. And never get far away from your young children - you WILL. NEVER. FIND. THEM again.

Don t waste your time and money. Despite all the blabber about collaboration, artistic infinity and innovation thus is just a bunch of rooms with Epson projectors. There is nothing special or interesting. It s Far away from most areas and it is ridiculously overpriced. The lines can take a longtime. Avoid

This place is not as awesome as the website. The magical things we see in the website are actually look ordinary when you visit the place.
Maybe it's good if you are with toddlers or younger children.
If you like to take pictures try to also take short videos, they're more enjoyable to watch later.
I think 2 hours here is more than enough.
There is one room near the entrance where we watched projected lights while lying on the large Net/ hammock, the waiting can be long. We waited for 45 min to enter the room. If you have limited time don't waste it here. Enter only when the waiting is short.

Superb experience but lacks resting area where eyes can relax now and then, also send to be way too pricey and some popular rooms have too much waiting time.

Also too much interference from the staff.

Overall, excellent exhibition with some room for improvement.

An overwhelmingly great experience.

Just when I thought I'd seen it all, another display would appear in a new room i hadn't discovered yet. Didn't know what to expect because each exhibit area was completely different, ranging from 3D motion light art to a trampoline floor!

I think this would be an incredible place to take children to stimulate the mind. For example, there was an area with soft blocks laid out on the floor, and changing the physical position of the blocks in the room changed the layout of a virtual town being projected onto a big screen; extremely clever and i have no idea how it works! This is just one of tens of exhibits that are all staggeringly beautiful.

Would highly recommend a visit.

Great experience and fun. Tickets are expensive, but worth it. They are split into areas with different themes. You can spend a couple of hours in here just taking photos. Some places you need to queue for like the lamp room, climbing thing. Theres lockers for you to put your bags away before going in.

Lots of people. dark rooms with moving digital images. 2D and 3D. adults and children both will enjoy. spend a full day there and get food from Wendy's. Should try the teahouse when you place a bowl on the table digital flowers bloom in your bowl. move the bowl and the flower fades while your new bowl position blooms a new flower. never ending. I love the floral huge whale swimming by beautiful.

beware of uneven floors in the dark for adults and children trips and fall easily.

Amazing! It s on thing to see the photos on Instagram but it s another to immerse yourself in the exhibit. Don t wear high heeled shoes, there will be a lot of people and bring a snack. I personally don t recommend queuing for the birds nest if you re time poor as it s a very slow queue and a bit underwhelming compared to others.

I really want to give it 5 stars but there is a good reason why I can't.

The place itself is really, really amazing. It felt unreal to be at such a beautiful place. There are a lot of different things to see in there.

And the bad thing is that I could not see everything, simple because I could not find it.

I had the idea that I had seen everything, but afterwards when googling again, there were a lot of rooms that I have not seen at all.

They should hand out a map of everything you can see, because I was really disappointed when I found out that I haven't seen everything there.

One of the highlights of my trip to Tokyo was visiting this exhibit in Odaiba. Be prepared to spend at least 2-3 hours here if you want to fully immerse yourself in the experience and try to find all the rooms inside! Expect to spend at least half an hour lining up to get into the most exciting exhibits though.

I enjoyed this place! I wish next time they would allow at least 5mins per group to stay in the Lamp room..2 mins was too fast and if youre at the end of the line, then you loose some seconds.. its a bit unfair.. Other places were fun.. we enjoyed making our drawings come to life!

Brilliant experience. Went at the weekend which meant it was really busy. Small queue to get in and then queue to get into the different rooms.

Something that can be enjoyed by all ages. Never really been to something like this before I see anything like it either.

So worth it! Arrive early before opening, because of the growing queue of waiting people. Also once inside try to head left first and up the stairs to the famous Forest of Resonating Lamps, because only 20 people are allowed inside at a time and the waiting queue gets longer through the day. If the line is short, just queue again, it's worth it! After that take your time, there is so much to see and even coming back to the same spot may be totally different the second or third time.

For those influencers looking to improve their status, this place makes excellent content and will guarantee an increase in followings and likes.

But on a serious note, this place is not your average art exhibition which I loved! Its a fun trippy immersive experience which all ages will love.

For the arty-farty peeps, I recommend you download the app to read the meaning behind each piece, which you can also use to interact with the art. And for the basic people like myself, I recommend not bringing a backpack, as you ll be told you wear it in front - which is not a good look for the pics.

Another tip: try to find the Floating Nest installation first, as that had a 1hr wait.

Also, BOOK TICKETS IN ADVANCE! Queues are annoying.

Oh and one more very important tip: DO NOT WEAR A SKIRT/DRESS. The installation rooms have mirrored floors. Not a cute look.

Amaaaaaaaaazing. You only get 30 seconds in the lantern room so you have to be lucky to catch a colour change. The rest of the experience was so good - even the longest queue ever actually goes quite quickly. Takes a few hours to get through but is worth it (especially for the 'gram)

Totally worth it. We reserved tickets in advance online and came with large party. Everyone enjoyed the experience, from the young children (3 years old) to grandma. We had night tickets. It was crowded but not overwhelmingly so. There were some specific activities that had long lines. But other rooms were quiet and we could take our time in those. Must do when in Tokyo. I wouldn t hesitate to go to any of the other TeamLab museums now.

Wow this digital art museum was fantastic, probably the best I have ever been to. There are over 30 different rooms/exhibits and all very unique in their own way. I went around 10:15am, a little after they opened but it was still very crowded, waited about 30 minutes outside. It is hard to get decent pictures by yourself but that being said it was worth every penny. I spent about 3 hours here but I could ve probably stayed longer if I had more time.

TeamLab: Navigating the Confluence of Art, Science, Technology, Design and the Natural World

TeamLab is an art collective that was founded in 2001. The group consists of interdisciplinary ultratechnologists who collaborate to create immersive digital art installations that explore the intersection of art, science, technology, design and the natural world. TeamLab's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.

The team at TeamLab is made up of artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians and architects who work together to create interactive installations that blur the boundaries between art and technology. Their goal is to create experiences that engage all five senses and encourage visitors to become active participants in their own experience.

One of TeamLab's most well-known works is "Borderless," a digital art museum located in Tokyo. The museum features over 50 interactive exhibits spread across five floors. Visitors can walk through a room filled with floating lanterns or immerse themselves in a virtual waterfall. Each exhibit uses cutting-edge technology to create an otherworldly experience for visitors.

Another notable installation by TeamLab is "Crystal Universe," which was first exhibited at the Pola Museum Annex in Tokyo before traveling to other locations around Japan and eventually making its way overseas. This installation features over 170 thousand LED lights arranged into a three-dimensional space that visitors can walk through while being surrounded by light.

In addition to their large-scale installations like "Borderless" and "Crystal Universe," TeamLab also creates smaller works such as interactive projections for events or exhibitions. They have worked with brands like Google and Nike on projects ranging from product launches to experiential marketing campaigns.

What sets TeamLab apart from other digital artists is their focus on creating experiences rather than just visual displays. They use technology as a tool for storytelling rather than relying solely on its wow factor. By incorporating elements from nature into their work - such as waterfalls or flowers - they aim to connect visitors with something familiar while also introducing them to new ways of experiencing it.

TeamLab's work has been recognized with numerous awards including Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Gold Lion Award (2015), Japan Media Arts Festival Excellence Award (2016) among others.

In conclusion, if you're looking for an immersive digital art experience that will leave you feeling inspired then look no further than TeamLab! With their innovative use of technology combined with elements from nature they are truly pushing boundaries when it comes creating unforgettable experiences for audiences worldwide!
