This is mine and my boyfriend's favorite hibachi place. Great happy hour at the bar, awesome chefs and service at dinner. They have a good sake selection and some really nice sushi rolls. I usually get the 210 roll or the Shamu's choice (scallops, shrimp, and lobster). The portions are big and the food is well made. Never had a bad experience here.

A billboard said that it is one of the best in San Antonio. I can t find my pic of the Flaming Scorpion Bowl drink! OMG delicious! Everything from the soup, salad to the main entree were fabulous. Better to make reservations before going they had spots for us. I m glad they did! The food was beyond delicious! Check it out!

Great steakhouse been here several times... The showcase is usually phenomenal... Only catch is... Your experience is contingent upon your chef. The name of the chef I favor escapes me at the moment... Regardless, you'll have a very nice time. Food is definitely awesome. The chefs accommodate special cooking requests... Within of course. Enjoy

The staff over at Sumo - they try, they work very hard for their customers, they take care of everyone to have a great experience....and the food is amazing! They accommodated my group of 14 and it worked out beautifully. We all had a blast and I owe some of that to the staff at Sumo. I would go everyday if I could. Thank you Sumo for our great experience yesterday!

Went on a slower night so maybe the timing was just off. It took 45 mins to get started and just get the soup out. Once the show started, it was great and incredibly tasty. Be prepared for LOTS of singing and hearing happy birthday and cliche jokes about egg rolls. And there was confusion about the check in the end that took forever when all I wanted to do was go home and rub my full belly.

Service was pretty damn terrible. We waited almost 2 hours for someone to start cooking the we ordered. They overcharged us and then wasted 30 minutes of our time fixing it. I would not recommend. Our cook also seemed like he was on drugs or as if he was under the influence. It wasn't fun and the food wasn't worth the money. Our waitress only attended our table once every hour if that and during those quick stops she wouldn't top off our drinks unless we requested it.

Sumo is my favorite place to eat sushi. We go on a week day while George is the chef to enjoy all of the delights. We sit at the bar because watching our creations being made is almost as fabulous as how they taste. The great thing about Sumo is the individual treatment George and the staff provide. If you want amazing sushi and more, you must try Sumo.

Good food but horrible atmosphere. Too loud and the employees banging on the vent hoods with their cooking implements, and they frequently do this, is not only annoying and childish but would very likely dislodge dust and other particulate matter directly over the cooking service. If you want to be able to share a conversation with your dinner guests then go somewhere else that isn't intentionally annoyingly loud.

The best hibachi spot I've been to ever!! The chefs are great performers. The cooking trucks are the usual, but the conversations with the chef are authentic and genuine. Ours really wanted to know about us and our dinner party, or so it seemed so. The tilapia was scrumptious, the fried rice delicious. Everything was doused in their butter concoction, which our chef admitted was the real seasoning to everything, straight out of the cookbook of Paula Deen...

The food was bland, the only thing that had flavor was the soup. Our waiter was good for the first 30mins and then all of a sudden he was gone! He was dealing w/his other table(he only had 2) and he didn't come back till our checks were delivered. It took over 20mins for the management to even come over to see if we needed anything since our waiter was to busy and when we asked for things they seemed like it was too much for them to do. The cook was trying to make up for the lack of service by trying to find someone to help us out while he was cooking, which made him get distracted and kinda burn a little bit of the food. The only reason we went is cuz we had a groupon...definitely won't be going back!

We went on 9/16/18 as a celebration dinner for my daughter s 21st birthday. We ve never been before and thought it was a wonderful meal and an experience that everyone enjoyed, not just the birthday girl. Request Tommy, I understand he is one of the top showman chefs they have and he had us engaged and entertained through every course. The food was abundant and delicious, the sauces were unexpectedly tasty. Even my picky eater granddaughter loved it. Very entertaining and a great time for everyone.

Passed by this place several times and on a whim, was fortunate enough to sit at the hibachi grill and witness greatness. Most people, when they go out, expect dinner and a show but here, dinner is the show! And everything was perfect down to the last detail. Highly recommend and cannot wait to go back again!

Service was inconsistent. Our cook was funny in the beginning, but stopped tricks & jokes midway. All tables around us were having shrimp thrown to them & many more tricks than we experienced. Had to remind cook about fried rice missing chicken & that steak ordered was regular menu not kids. We also told them we were celebrating a birthday & nothing but a "oh, happy birthday!" Three other tables around us got sung happy birthday by their servers & cook. My daughter (birthday girl) said she loved her food but wishes we would have gotten a different cook.

While there I noticed a cook towards the back of the restaurant cooking without a mask (There was one person at their table, but since she was there all night I assumed the cook was just making to-go orders).

Had a reservation for 8pm. Place was really busy. It was an hour and a half before they even brought the food out to cook. Drink service was beyond horrible, staff very inattentive. When we finally got our drink order in it was a while before we got it. Even paying our check took forever. Ridiculous, definitely not coming back... and do NOT recommend. F -

Had a great time. Andrew the chef was awesome. He did a great job in preparing the meal. Food was great. He also showed great showman skills during the time my wife and was there. Magellana the waitress was kind, sweet , helpful and very knowledgeable and had a great smile. They both made the time there unforgettable. Yes we will be back.

I loved this place! I had made reservations for my husband's birthday. It was both our first time experiencing a hibachi restaurant. The waiter and chef were both very outgoing, funny, and attentive. We left there with our cheeks hurting from laughing so much and feeling like we made new friends. We will definitely be going back to this place. Amazing food and experience!
