This is a great airport friendly easy to get around in the staff is very helpful nice restaurants nice seating areas the best airport in Alberta
With the Pandemic happening, it's deserted; hardly anyone there! Probably about 1/3 of the stores where open, and most of the major one's are in the middle! So if you wanted snacks or antacid, you've got to walk back for them! Well off to the lower mainland yet again, finding work anywhere is gettin...
Loved my stopover here, the announcer couldn't stop her laughing fit and everyone joined in on the joke.
That apart the airport had a Belgian beer cafe, and cops on Segways!
Took a trip out east to show off our new baby to my wife's family. At security because the baby was sleeping they told us they would bypass the car seat. At the scanner a woman took the baby seat (with our baby in it) and walked away (out of sight) while we had to wait in line untell we had our tu...
This airport needs a total facelift... half of it still is outdated the washrooms are very small in the old section of the airport. Considering Edmonton is the capital of Alberta it would be nice if this will represents the Alberta it really does lacks personality. The facade the departure area th...
Always friendly staff, and flying with the best Worldwide Airline, Air Canada!
Easy to make your way through and does its job correctly. I've been to many airports, and this is one of the only that I've had minimal issues in. The few issues that I did have were solved immediately, efficiently, and with great Canadian hospitality.
It's absolutely brutul and embarrassing that my home city Airport cant get wheelchair accessible transportation in a timely matter. Everything i fly back home the Ground Transportation Services takes forever to just find a wheelchair accessible ride. Be prepared to waste at least an hour of your ti...
You ve finally ran out of soap In all soap dispensers in the male washroom, for the last hour we ve been unable to wash our hands. I d like to shake all the staffs hands and congratulate them on such a good job.
Pretty decent airport, never had a problem with waiting too long to get through security. Looks nice, very spacious, and there are outlets to charge devices galore
I have flown into and left from YEG dozens of times, both in the sweltering +30C heat of summer and the -40C bite of winter. I've seen it packed under a meter of snow, swept clean by windy rainstorms that threaten to tip over the buses, and baked by a late-afternoon sun so hot that the Canadians get...
Edmonton International Airport has 60 restaurants and shops. Very clean small airport easy to navigate no chance of getting lost and great customer service. You can fly plenty of domestic and very few international destinations. EIA need to add more direct international flights!
Nice clean airport with beautiful art and heritage displays throughout.
Very user friendly , functional and low congestion airport.
The airport is kinder empty .but good service every body is willing to help. Mask is mandatory
Typically quite fast to process travellers through every time I travel.
Not very big, but very modern and efficient. Good wifi as well, if you are in the right spot
Horses in crates being shipped all the way to Japan for barbaric slaughter. Why does EIA do this, it's wrong, it's beyond cruel.
Nice clean place very good envirnment handy staff a valuable support
LOL @ the guy who said "hillbilly airport in the middle of no where"! LOL I somewhat agree but you have to admit they TRY. All you see is oilfield workers with camouflage or company hats lol. Escorts from back east and a few pimps. I enjoyed the Heineken Lounge pretty cool. What ever you do fellow E...
This is probably the most incompetently run airport on the planet. Showed up well in advance only to encounter a security check line that took 1.5 hours to get through. Absolutely incompetent management when they know how many travelers are set to depart at any point in time. We now get home at 12:...
This place has improved greatly. But the achilles heel is picking arrivals up. Try picking someone up here. Only one row and they have some Parking Nazi make you pay for a 10 minute stop. Not enough rows for an Airport this size. Always crowded and dangerous. Forcing cars to circulate to pick up peo...
Nice and big depending when you have a flight the airport is not that busy. Normally the security line goes pretty fast. Plenty of options once you passed security for snacks or meals. Well kept and looks nice.
The pick-up can be parked in front of the flight arrival gate, but there is a fee, which costs $ 4 for ten minutes and a maximum of 45 minutes. If you need to pay for the renewal, it is better not to use the same card to pay, otherwise the time will be overlapped and overpaid.
Lots of shops to waste your time with. The only things bad are the automated security line that separates you from the rest of your party and the wifi isnt secure, so youll have to use your VPN.
Tim Horton's was a mistake. Incompetent staff, ran out of food, can't figure out a refund. Glad they got a raise. Welcome to Canadastan
My overall experience was just OK. Few points to highlight would be:
1. Wi-Fi was good
2. Restrooms need to be renovated
3. Self Check-in process wasn't very clear. However, the staff was helpful.
4. Security check line was bit long
The airport is the capital city, but recently, Calgary has become a hub airport. To downtown, take a bus to Century Park and change to LRT for convenient access.
Rented for 11days pretty smooth return no bumps yet
Not too big not too small. Love the warmth of the wood finishes.
Not too big, but lots of nice places to eat and drink or just relax on these comfy chairs
Very easy to navigate. Staff are friendly and professional.
Baggage belts broke...massive lineups...delays at security...missed flight to job in Fort McMurray...but my luggage made it...now laid off due to your equipment flaws...EIA had no contingency plans...now what do I tell the family...as you are enjoying Christmas dinner, think about a family missing t...
3am awake now Sleepy, waiting for my flight to Calgary. Thw to Lv
Super fast free Wi-Fi available. Relatively small clear-cut airport. With play area for small children. Many ways to load your smartphone. Enough power sockets available.
Sad venue selection, only select seat areas have outlets, the travelers lounge here was almost twice as much as the one in Calgary.
Very easy to find places to drink in this airport, but the ones that actually had food were way overpriced. (~gate 60) There is an asian wok place, but they're crap...
Flights were great. Security was quick. Baggage claim takes forever. I would have expected it to be a little faster since it is not overly busy but 40 minutes waiting for your bags after your flight is frustrating to say the least. Parking was also good too so the experience was a good one overal...
Easy to get there, but its a big airport. Get there early so you dont miss your flight. Rental car, and everything is close.. 5 min.
Great airport. Well laid out. Not confusing, as its basically just a strip. Although I mean a couple beer and a sandwich is going to set you back almost 40$.
I always get selected for a pat down at this airport. Heathrow, Warsaw, Frankfurt, Beirut, Calgary, Ottawa, Las Vegas, Punta Cana, Rzezow airports had never selected me for an extra check. I guess EIA is scared of people with black hair... the original review is from 2016 I think. Today Oct 29 2018 ...
Considering I travel for work and pleasure nearly every week. I find this to be the worst airport possible.
Mostly addressing my concern with Security. CATSA takes things to extreme measures when stating their rules . I understand rules very well and follow them consciously.
However, the attitud...
You have a playground for kids in departures. That alone is four stars in my world!!!!
Such a great place and we are enjoyed in snow , 02 November 2017
With the new section open, much better food choices. Nice easy to navigate airport.
The Nexus line is the longest line up and no one cares. X-ray tech had to get assurance from their supervisor all the time. Been traveling weekly and this seems to be a trend.
The first time I came, I was very impressed by the cleanliness. Security is very careful and comfortable.
I visited EIA six times within six months due to my work , with the same disappointed experience .they are so picky, through out items other airport in candaC allow me to Carry on ... I think they are picky at the wrong people..what they through out cheese even though it was less than 100g only becau...
One of my favorite airports. I especially appreciate the express lanes at the Tim Hortons
Going through this airport when you travel internationally is always a headache.
A family member of mine had an unfortunate incident prior to travelling with his wife and three kids, which required him to use crutches. He was flying with Swoop airlines, and while hobbling to a departure gate at Edmonton airport with his children, asked a passing by Air Canada cart to drive him a...
Super easy airport to get in and out of. Not particularly large, so simple to get to rental cars, taxis etc.
Nice facility, decent food options, nice people, baggage arrival should hurry up just a bit.
New International flights terminal is very good.
No more HARVEY'S? But add's Delux Burger? Definite down grade....
Under current conditions, not too lively, guards remind you to mask up even if drinking coffee.
This airport sucks!!!!!! If you fly out on the US side be prepared to hate your life. They spent millions on this addition and it s the worst design ever. If you are hungry the Relay store is your best option. You have the grand choice of Chilis express, Quiznos .starbucks and the fine quality...
Parked at value park (hourly).
Tried to prepay in the kiosk wnen i was leaving parking lot ($4.50 charge). Didn't have credit card, on me, so proceeded to cashier.
All of a sudden $10 dollars charge.
Petty theft it is.
Such kind employee's and service, also loved the garden wall.
Beautiful airport. Lots of good parking. Pretty expensive if you Park close. Better off grabbing a shuttle from Nisku.
YEG is a really beautiful airport! I fly out of YVR and while it has some cool nature displays, it is all pieces cobbled together. YEG is one long concourse(and I mean long, like 90 gates in a row!).
Every passenger gets a great view, lots of variety and they have this terrific lounging/living spac...
Nice clean airport. Not too much for shops and services outside security. Easy to navigate. I like to make airplane noises while waiting on my flight...
Years and years ago Edmonton closed its Municipal Airport based on promises that having one airport would bring the city "lots and lots" of direct international flights.
Well, has anyone tried to fly direct lately to Japan? China? Germany? France? Italy? Australia? No direct flights to any of th...
