This mountain is not that big and only one modern lift. You will get bored doing the same run over and over again. Plus most runs are short. However, it is usually not that crowded and it can be a good time. Closer than Big Bear from most spots in Southern California.

Everything-ticket window, rentals, repair shop, snack bar, ski lifts etc. are convenient and easy to get to. All if the employees are friendly, courteous and obviously want you to have a good time. A great ski resort especially for a beginner like me. I especially enjoyed seeing the young kids having a good time learning to do something they can do for the rest of their lives.

You must have a lift ticket to enter the area. Otherwise, park off the road and bring your own sled into the forest. Went Sat Jan 5. Got half off with Snowjam membership. Lines were short all day. Medium kickers and jibs in the parks.

Sledding sold out, but wasn't oversold, IMO. You have to use their sleds and can walk up instead of ride, for less. 3 year old rode without problem. To slow down, spread your legs wide and pigeon toe so snow sprays back and away instead if over your toes and into your eyes.

Age limit for the lift is different depending on which employee you talk to- rules kept changing. I have 3 kids: 3 year old, a small but brave/capable 6 year old, and 9. So, the 6 y.o. costs less, but ticket agent said she has to ride the lift with teen or adult. So with only the four of us, she can't ride as I am escorting the toddler. But then a liftie said she could ride alone or with 9 y.o. if 7, but that costs more. Then someone else said she can ride with my 9 year old, and that's what they did, contrary to ticket agents rule. They need to make policy clear- day would have been ruined if 6 year old needed a teen+ companion.

Excellent family resort. The staff are incredibly friendly and try to make your experience great. The location and price can't be beat when you consider how quickly you can get to this resort.

Now, this isn't Jackson or any other world class resort. This is a place for families to come enjoy themselves without breaking the bank. It's also a perfect place to learn.

Give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Fun but some courses which on the top were closed.
They don't have any rental wears (We thought that there are some stuff like Big Bear snow park, cuz we are not local)
Went there by Uber and came back by Lyft (cuz only Lyft has a scheduling function)
You could also use Uber/Lyft to get there:)
Thanks for all our drivers!

If you are looking for a reasonable family experience close to the flat lands. Snow Valley has it. My daughter is almost 7 and was her 2nd time skiing. Way better deal. Snow summit charged almost the same price for a 3 hr session. And then you have to give the rentals back. And then take turns watching your kid? Snow Valley offers a 9 to 4 ski class. Including lunch. And they will also allow you to them out with the family towards the end of your day. You also ski FREE if you're 70 and older. Let's go grandma and grandpa!

Didn't go for pleasure but this place is awesome... I ran out of gas in the middle of the night out front and immediately the next morning they put 3 gal of gas in my car enough to get home with. If they're this good when not in season I can only imagine how they'd be in season. Thank you Snow Valley

it was good for ski and snowboard. but somebody stole snowboard which was brand new. the staff has no any option to help me. I dont think this stolen is not first time so they should install security camera from long time ago. If i go there again, i should bring a lock set to secure snowboard. it is so sad situation but the staff cannot do anything.

Great teaching mountain and largest (200 acres+) of any of the Southern California ski resorts. Wide, separate terrain park for snowboarders with obstacles and jumps and everything from expert ski runs and moguls to beginner to tubing. Plenty of off-piste skiing and backwoods cat tracks. Be sure to take a ski or snowboard lesson from the top-ranked ski school and their PSIA-Certified instructors.

Went snowboarding for the first time in over a decade. Like riding a bike, only a lot more falling. Had a great time love this resort. Halfway through the day took a break to go to the very convenient and overpriced bar, but I guess that's to be expected. All staff were very friendly, thoroughly enjoyed myself now it's time to go soak in the spa until the hurting stops.

pretty great resort for SoCal. yes, its not the best but for what it is, its great. Its generally not very crowded that I know of but surely weekends are typical. slopes are pretty wide usually, and the runs are fairly long compared to mt high or big bear. cool place, i plan on going back this week. i just hope they dont jack up their ticket prices because the value is what makes the extra long drive from mt high worth it

If you're a beginner, ask for George. He was very calm, and patient with me and my kid. He listened to us, and didnt push us on the lift till we were ready. Really great instructor. The park was small enough for us to do what we wanted and the rentals were in great condition. I didn't give it 5 Stars because 2 of the staff were rude.

This is a good place to go snowboarding if you have no where else to go. The price is fair. We went in February and the slopes were very icy. The staff was not very friendly, they made rude comments to us and multiple other people. It's not a terrible place, but I've been to better.
