I have worked here on my first full week. Everybody is nice and helpful. My truck on the first trip had problems. Took it back and they gave me a Loaner. It had issues. Got back and picked my truck up on Tuesday. Today is Thursday and already having issues with the truck. I need a truck that is going to run. Better week this week then last. But still problems
Very good company to work for. I get home every weekend and get great miles thru the week pay is comparable with the average company pay. If you need home time its not a problem I work couple months then take a week off to do my own thing.
Wow such a great work environment. Truckers feel like they are part of a family and are very happy and satisfied driving for Sharkey. The secretary's are aomw of the nicest and friendliest people I've ever met and the owner Jack is like a loveable business grandpa kindness but firm
If I could give the recruiting manager a plus 20 I would. I've been here since 2011 and am as happy as ever. Would definitely recommend working here.
Horrible place, low miles, filthy equipment issued, I worked two weeks and I was out of there!! Loads are super short runs. Run from this craziness !
I'll defend Jack Sharky and all of his company's. I've worked for Sharkey for near 15 years it's the longest I've ever been at a trucking company. The reason I stay is loyalty. I'm pretty sure that the majority of these bad reviews are from drivers who never had a company like Sharkey look after them . In times like these you would be better off working with this company because we are basically recession proof. So give them a call it wouldn't hurt
Waste of time and money. Management is very rude unorganized and unprofessional. I as a spotter did not need to be there for the second day.
Constant breakdowns. 2+ months to get paid for things like breakdown and detention if it gets paid at all. After being put in three different trucks, all of which broke down, and having driver retention tell me they can't possibly spare one of the 20+ newer trucks just sitting in the lot, called it quits.
If you're not OTR, prepare to spend a lot of time on the side of the road because theyll stick you in a 10+ year old truck and make you pull 25 year old trailers around. The Galesburg drop lot is a trailer graveyard.
