Rockford homes

We have been in our home for 17 months now and we are currently and have been dealing with 100's of issues with the home and company. Our list of issues and complaints are way too long to type them all here. Contact me if you want more details. Check out the pictures I posted on a few of the issues we have dealt with. I DO NOT recommend Rockford Homes to anyone.

We have had problems with our air conditioner a year after building our house and a lot of other people in our community. We have had it charged 7 times in 4 years. The company we called said is was not installed Correctly when done. We now have to pay for a complete new unit and have it installed correctly.

I like a lot of their designs, and the exclusive touches that make a home something to showcase

They sold us a house on false pretenses 2 years ago, you can read my bbb post dated 9/14/14. They all knew we wanted a pool in the backyard from the beginning. Would not have even considered this house if we knew we had a no build line 5 feet out the back door - they knew - they had to build the house on the lot around the no build line. Now our rheem ac is out - called a contractor on Rockfords list - Wants $2000 all together for labor for a $500 defective part which is covered under warranty - many rockford home owners with the same problem. Rockford said they won't help us at all. Most contactors that I have called either want us to go back to the builders contractor or want just as much money, or won't give me a quote on the phone, and we've already paid the builders contractor $380. Wish we never bought our house. Hate it, also read bbb post about our large lot and the swimming pool deception.

Update- Found an honest contractor replaced the coil for $700 with a year warranty on labor compared to $2000 and a 6 mo labor warranty Feb really?? . What a scam. Even quoted the price before coming out - as long as they agreed on what the problem was, as The first guy initially told us the wrong part last Friday, but after questioning and pressing him about a leak came back and said yes there is a leak in the evaporator coil. Luckily we did so or else we would have been back in the same situation next summer with a 6 month warranty. He also jacked up the price of labor from $780 to $2000. Not happy that we have to go thru this or pay anything for a 2 year old house with a defective part, but at least not as much with this contractor. Won't use anyone on their list anymore. Should have known better but needed someone to cover the warranty (atleast the part).

Just sold our Rockford home to find out radon levels were extremely high at 80. Safe levels are at 4. Apparently Rockford doesn t test for radon. Radon wasn t addressed at all, not by Rockford nor did our home inspector. I was telling a friend of mine about it and she built a home with another builder around the same time and they told her to test for it and that they would mitigate and pay for anything over 4. She was lucky to have a descent builder. Don t buy a Rockford. They ve put our health/lives at risk - radon causes lung cancer. Please have your house tested-especially if you live in Olentangy Falls. Sad and disgusted that we ve lived in this house for close to 5 years and didn t know this. We bought an expensive house in a good neighborhood thinking we were at least somewhat safe.

Terrible company to work for i worked there for about 7 months and my car blew up i was still at work every day on time and they fired me because i didnt have a car

In the process in having a new home built by Rockford homes in Blacklick, after selecting and signing for the colors available to us. We just received a call today from the design center representative, telling us that if we need the color white we would have to pay for it as an upgrade. Hope we won't have to go through the same ordeal as most of the customer who wrote a review on here went through.

Very helpful staff. We were very happy and comfortable working with their in house sales person. Their design staff was amazing and extremely helpful in helping us choose options that were exactly like our inspiration ideas.
